Once Upon a Child — Attraction in Fairfield

I have recommended so many mothers to this store. My friend went over there this Saturday that passed and she came out of there. Highly disappointed as well as me to know that you guys gave her a hard time. She brung in a playpen. She brung in a swing and a car seat with the stroller and apparently you guys wanted her to set up the whole setup inside the store and I believe she was with her child. I understand a point of view. I understand there might be pieces missing or stuff like that. We are clear on that but it's not cleared on your website before anyone going over there. It was a waste of time of her to go over there and a waste of her gas traveling over there. I'm really disappointed. I feel bad for my friend and I'm not going to recommend the store ever again. I'm really disappointed. And she is a very meticulous lady and she packed up everything in a very nice way. All she needed was help at least at least help her. It's five of you ladies in there and one of her with her child. Other people messed up and brung as things in that missing pieces. That doesn't mean that she brung her stuff and pieces were missing believe me I know her. She's very meticulous. None of that would have happened in her situation. So you lost a very good customer? I brought people in there. Never had a problem. I was happy with the store always for the past 5 years. Now I'm discouraged I'm not even going to mention the store to anyone that I know . Sorry you lost a very good customer. And by the way, I called as well and no one told me that she needed to assemble everything. I called on her behalf and nothing was told to me about her assembling these...

If I can give 0 stars I would! My horrible experience there was ONLY with their manager Tanya! She’s extremely disrespectful, rude and unprofessional!! I had called at 12:30 pm to put shoes on hold. They told me they were going to be out on hold until 2:30 pm. I live 45 mins away so I called back at 2pm letting them know that I was on my way and that I would be there at 2:30 on the dot and they said okay no problem. Once I got there I parked and went in and made the line to ask for my shoes. When I get to the register the manager tells me it’s 2:33 and that I was 3 minutes late that I can no longer have the shoes that they are being put on hold for someone else! What did they expect for me to cut the line and rudely interfere with the other clients purchasing!! I told them that I was there on time and that I had even called twice to let them know my eta and they had agreed it was ok. She denied me calling the second time until one of the other employers said it was true that I had spoken to them. With that being said she still said she didn’t care that I can no longer have the shoes! But what’s worse is that the whole time this so called manager was speaking over me and raising her voice at me in front of all the clients and employees!! I had to address her and tell her to stop talking over me and to stop raising her voice, that was no way to treat a client!! Than she sarcastically said ok rolled her eyes and gave me an attitude! I am a client of ouac going to all their locations Paramus, Edison, Randolph, and Fairfield but you can assure I will NEVER go to their Fairfield...

Went there today with two bags of clothes and toys. Lots of brand names, some were brand new and some were in excellent condition! The toys were like new and the games I bought had all the pieces! I was offered $5! I specifically asked how much they were giving me for one of the toys that they were taking and they said they were giving me $1 but we're going to sell it for $6. I said that's okay. I'll keep it. Can you please put it back in my bag, instead they put it under the counter. I checked my bag before I left and I said can I please have my toy back and then they took it back out and gave it back. I can't imagine how much stuff they just take that people don't even realize! When I asked for my toy back they spoke Spanish to each other. I'm guessing so I couldn't understand? It was akward.

While I was there I was looking at clothes on the shelves. Some have huge stains or rips? Some of the shoes looked worn, To the point I was surprised they even tried to sell them! So I wasn't sure why they they took nothing of mine.

I definitely will not be returning to this one. I would rather go to the one in Randolph. They actually take...
