This place was alive with excitement on a Saturday night when we visited. Parking was a bit difficult to find as a lively crowd was partying outside before we even walked in. Once inside, a band was performing and the vibe was electric. It was the kind of atmosphere that puts everyone in a great mood. We wanted to try a few beers brewed by Solace to get started and decided to order a couple flights. The bartender was most friendly, despite it being as busy as it was. He apologized for not being able to do flights but told me he would pour however many samples as I wanted. I looked at the menu and asked to try the first few up there. He started pouring and brought me the first four on the menu. These were the most generous samples I've had anywhere. It took several minutes to finish each one. I liked every one and was ready to order a round for my party, but before I got to the last one, the bartender came back with samples of the next four on the menu. I was blown away as I was getting same. He really was going to bring me a sample of everything! This was a craft beer lovers dream position to be in. I thanked the bartender as I finished samples 5 through 8 and placed my order and by then, the others in my party got a table. We enjoyed them all. The variety of beer styles was excellent. I loved it so much, I purchased some 4-packs and 6-packs of what I liked best to take home with me. We did not get a chance to try the food. But we came for the beer, and it was great. I also found a place I want to return to soon, just in case they put something new on the menu to ask for more samples!

Solace is a great place for tasty happy hour beer and food while hanging out and playing arcade games or just chatting. The location is spacious, and the staff are friendly. I visited with my husband for happy hour on a Friday afternoon, and we had no trouble finding free parking in the garage just past Solace by Sweet Frog. We entered Solace and picked a table by a window. We started with the Phantasmal Cider for me and the Devil's Due black IPA for my husband. Both were exactly what we wanted. We also tried a giant pretzel because that is what goes best with beer, right?! Anyway, the pretzel was delightful. Next, we shared the Suspended Animation barleywine with its 11.2% ABV....delicious. Last but not least, we sampled the Scuttered red ale, and it was also really good. We had a harvest bowl with grilled chicken and a burger with curly fries for our meal. My husband also ordered onion rings, which he said were good. All in all, it was a great evening adventure, and I would definitely come back. Thanks!

After a fun bowling session at Bowl America Falls Church, we headed over to Solace Outpost for some craft brews! This lively brewery offers complimentary garage parking for patrons, making it a convenient stop. Inside, the spacious taproom was buzzing with weekend energy, and we even spotted a bookcase full of puzzles and games—a nice touch for a laid-back vibe! ✨ Weekly Highlights: Happy Hour Mon-Thurs (11am-6pm) Trivia Nights Tues & Thurs (7pm) Half-off Growler Fills Wednesdays (11am-12am) Live Music Fri-Sat (8-11pm) Looking for a private event space? The Brewers Room is great for smaller gatherings, while The Game Room is ideal for bigger groups! I finally convinced my husband to switch things up from his go-to "Partly Cloudy"—he enjoyed "Lil' Bit Cloudy", while I sipped on a refreshing "Vibrant Thing: Pineapple/Mango". Cheers to new favorites!

While pandemic operations are rightly expected to be slower and idiosyncratic, patent inattention shouldn't be the norm. We understand the odd conditions and can even forgive brusqueness given the craziness of no table service and having to operate an establishment that large from behind the rail... That said... Outpost seems understaffed and under-supported given that getting anyone's attention even to pay the bill required an airhorn and semaphore just to summon a disgruntled huff. (This is the repeated experience that we've had since trying the place: "Can't be bothered.") We are hoping that fuller staffing with proper wait staff and consequently fuller attention to service with at least a begrudging smirk will be paid post-pandemic. For the time being, we are left wanting and waving frantically. The menu is straightforward and simple and appropriate for a bar of this style, a literal outpost, and the quality really very, very good, and the beers are every bit as good as you'd expect them to be given Solace's track record for excellence. It is also an immeasurably massive improvement over this location's predecessor on both fronts. However, when it comes to customer service, for the second time in a row we were feeling like Michael Douglas in Falling Down. Management would do well to revise the model to put someone behind the bar full time who is exclusively oriented to the standing-and-waiting customer, and not just someone slinging taps and entering food tickets. Customer service very well may make or break this place, and it certainly is the fulcrum upon which our willingness to try it for much longer depends. Final note: If you are ordering cocktails, keep it simple and generic. This place is for beer,...

Solace Outpost Falls Church is a total gem! Whether you’re here to hang with friends, grab a craft beer, enjoy some killer food, or just unwind—this place delivers across the board.

The vibe inside is electric but still chill. Tons of space, big screens everywhere for the game, and even arcade games if you’re feeling nostalgic or just want to challenge a friend. The beer tanks in-house? Very cool touch—you know you’re getting something fresh.

The food is unreal. The hot chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of kick, and the sauces they serve on the side take it over the top. We also tried the loaded fries—crispy, flavorful, and loaded with jalapeños, bacon, and cheese. Absolute perfection. Wash it all down with one of their many local brews on tap, and you’re golden.

Outdoor seating is also a huge plus, especially on nice days. It’s a great setup with plenty of space and shade. Staff was friendly, quick, and knew the menu inside out—really helpful with drink pairings too.

Whether you’re local or just passing through, Solace Outpost is a must-visit. Can’t...
