This was the worst customer experience of my life. I took in my S23 Ultra (cracked screen) and my daughter's Nintendo Switch (battery wouldn't hold a charge) on Wednesday, July 30th. Simon told me they would be ready later in the day, maybe the next morning at the latest. I left him my wife's phone number to reach me when everything was fixed. On the 31st I called him with my daughter's phone and he said everything was almost done. Since I work evenings I told him I wished he could hurry so I got it before work. He said he'd be happy to drive it to my work. I told him where that was, but he never showed up that night. On the 1st I drove up to his shop to ask what was going on. He told me he just got off the phone with my wife (he never called her) and that he outsourced my S23 to someone else because the back light sensor was bad, and he didn't have the tools to fix it. He said he was working alone since he had to fire his only employee for stealing from him. He promised my phone would be ready that afternoon. When I got back into my truck, my phone connected via Bluetooth. So I went back in, told him my phone was still on-site, and he then said only part of my phone was sent off. He said he would have the guy that was fixing my phone part bring it back to his shop, wait there while he reassembled it, then drive it to my work. Again no one ever showed. On the 2nd he never opened his shop and didn't answer his phone. I called another FixItNow and they tried his personal cell, with no luck. On the 3rd I gave up on getteing my phone and went to AT&T and got a new one, since I would be out of town the 4th - 7th. On the 7th I called him, he said my S23 was done and the Nintendo would be ready soon (he didn't call my wife's number to notify me). I told him I had to get a new phone since he took so long, and he said he was way behind since his father passed unexpectedly and asked that I please not hate him. On the 8th his store was closed when I drove to get my devices in the morning. I called him and he said he was in a meeting with his lawyer, but if I texted him my home address he would drop everything off soon. Hours later I had to text him that he failed me yet again, since I had to leave for work. He texted back a rant that he hadn't failed me, he was working alone, and his father had passed, though he wasn't trying to make that an excuse. On the 9th I drove to his store and it was closed again. This time when I texted him he said his car broke down. Just another excuse. On the 10th I had someone else call him to see if he would answer. He answered, but pretended to be someone else named Chris, an employee of Simon's, even though he'd been saying this whole time he had no employees. While pretending to be "Chris" he slipped up and said, "I told him last week I was fixing another part of his phone for no charge," so it was Simon, talking about the broken back light sensor. He said my devices were fixed, he was going in to his shop even though it was his day off, and I could go pick them up. We told him over the phone and via text that I was working, but if he didn't have my property ready for me when his shop opened at 10:00 AM Monday I would be filing a police report for stolen property. On Monday the 11th he opened his shop and brought out my S23. He said he needed a couple minutes to finish up the Nintendo. The same Nintendo that was "almost done" on Thursday, "going to be delivered" on Friday, and was "ready for me to pick up" on Sunday. It took him twenty more minutes to finish up and get it to me. He said, "If it matters, I apologize." I told him it didn't matter. He told me to "Have a good day. Have a good life." He obviously took on more business than he could handle with not having any employees. At no time did he give me a reasonable explanation along the way, offer to have me go to a servicer that could get the work done in a timely manner, or offer any other concessions. $450 and I had to wait twelve days to get my property back, and even then only under the threat of a police report. Simon...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBrought my dead MacBook back to life when Apple wanted me to buy a new one!
I usually donāt take the time to write reviews, but the service I received at Fix It Now Farmington Hills deserves recognition. I own a MacBook Pro (2019) that I use every single day for work, and one morning it simply refused to power on. No matter what I tried holding down the power button, SMC reset, different chargers nothing worked. Since my entire business runs through this laptop, I was in a full-blown panic.
First, I called Apple. They told me to schedule an appointment at the Genius Bar, which was a week away. When I asked for repair pricing, they quoted me upwards of $800 just to replace the logic board, and they made it sound like there was no chance of repairing the original one. That didnāt sit right with me.
A colleague recommended Fix It Now Farmington Hills, and I decided to give them a shot. From the very first phone call, I could tell this place was different. Simon, the owner, actually picked up and asked me detailed questions about what happened before the laptop died. He didnāt rush me off the phone or try to sell me anything ā he just gave me honest advice and told me to bring it in right away.
When I arrived at their Orchard Lake Road location, I was immediately impressed by how clean and professional the shop was. They were already working on phones, tablets, and even game consoles, which gave me confidence they really know their stuff. Simon checked in my MacBook and promised a full diagnostic before charging me anything.
Within 24 hours, I got a call back and this is where the magic happened. Instead of just swapping the entire board like Apple wanted, Fix It Now actually repaired the motherboard at component level. Simon explained that one of the power rails had shorted out due to a tiny capacitor failure. They cleaned up the board, replaced the faulty chip, and tested everything to make sure it was rock solid. Not only did my MacBook turn back on, but all my data was intact. Apple had basically told me to throw it away, but Fix It Now gave me my laptop back as if nothing ever happened.
When I picked it up, they walked me through all the testing they did charging, keyboard, trackpad, speakers, Wi-Fi, battery health, everything. They even deep-cleaned the fans and thermal paste so my MacBook runs quieter and cooler than it has in years. The best part? The cost was less than half of what Apple quoted me.
Itās rare these days to find a repair shop that has both the technical skill AND the integrity to do right by their customers. Fix It Now Farmington Hills has both. They didnāt try to upsell me, didnāt push unnecessary repairs, and gave me back my most important tool in perfect working order. They also backed it with a warranty and made it clear that if I ever had issues, I could come straight back with no hassle.
This business is the definition of honest, professional, and reliable. Simon and his team have earned my trust 100%. Iāll never go back to Apple for out-of-warranty repairs again ā Fix It Now is my new go-to for anything tech related.
If youāve got a dead MacBook, iPhone, iPad, or even a gaming system, donāt waste your time or money anywhere else. Fix It Now Farmington Hills is the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAVOID THIS MAN AT ALL COST he is a scammer. And please read the other negative reviews first, as he has a history of this same behavior. I too my iPhone there to get a battery replacement, my back glass was also broke, he offered to do both for $200. I agreed and paid up front, he asked me to leave my phone there and to return in 2.5hours (this was before 5pm )and that he would have it completed. Upon returning to his business (7:20p) doors were locked even when it was still during business hours. I rang his Ring doorbell and when he finally answered he asked how can he help me. I informed him I was there to pick up my property. He began to tell a story of how he didnāt have certain tools/parts and that he had to run to another store location ( Dearborn to be exact) 30 minutes away to continue working on it. He then asked me to allow him more time, giving me a 10pm completion time ( his business closes at 8). I told him if he couldnāt do the job he shouldnāt have agreed to it and charge me up front. He requested my address so he can personally drop it off as to remedy the situation. I didnāt agree, he became very frustrated, with me demanding my phone back and said he was not done with it, it was in pieces and he has to continue it. He then yelled that he was in the business for 17 years and that I shouldnāt expect same day service. I had to reiterate that per his request , he asked for 2.5 hours. A verbal agreement once I paid and left the device. He then became loud and started yelling that he doesnāt know what else to tell me, itās not done and he needs more time. I told him I didnāt care just return my property and Iāll take my business elsewhere at that point. He disconnected the discussion leaving me no way to contact him. I had to go to the police station to file a police report for my stolen property. The police contacted him and he stated to them he would give me a full refund and my phone back if I meet him back at his store. I went, waited for 1.5 hours and he never showed. I had to return back to the police station, add to my complaint and continue filing. The police officer offered again to contact him & was able to get ahold of him. This time he requested 20 more minutes and to return to his store ( it would be around 9:30pm and dark, for obvious reason I was not going to do that) after several minutes of resistance he agreed to bring my phone to the police station. At 10:30p he finally arrived, I was given my property. Untouched, not in pieces like he described to me earlier when it was suppose to be competed and not repaired at all. He stated the only way I could get a refund was to bring my card to his store again. I declined for safety reasons and also I spent my entire evening dealing with him and his bs. I had to file a fraud claim with my bank to recover my monies. He would of stolen my phone and money if the police didnāt...
