This is day 2 at this DMV. I was instructed the day before to either come before 7am to get in line or 10am for the 12pm shift. I arrived maybe at 950am, there were at least 8 people in line already. I got my cane and stood in line covering with others who were out of state. Here in NC there is no one stop DMVs, you have to go to one for drivers licenses and ID, then another for tags & title! Now that is not the worst of it, whether you are with a health challenge, elderly or hot outside you stand in line which is uncontionable that no provisions are made! The worst of it all is after standing in line for hours, if you are not at least number 10 or no more than 15 you may not get your business taken care of! You have to come back another day for more torture of standing in line at 70 plus degree weather. Don't try to make an appointment online, they are in July maybe August by no. Okay now I stood in line until 12noon, 2hrs! It wouldn't be so bad if you could sit inside! Okay at 12 noon someone came outside and asked who are in groups, who just needs ID and not a driver's license, of course there were less than 10 persons for that compared to 30 or more for licenses. There was no staggering, when 5 from the morning 7am shift came out 5 of the 10am could come in which would make more sense! After maybe 15 minutes they brought in the ID persons and groups and 10 of us for licensing. I must say the nice gentleman at the counter yesterday was cordial and very helpful and pleasant! The other attendant was behind the scenes where he belongs! Once I checked in I was given a number on my cell phone and the wait to be serviced was 118 minutes. I went to sit in my car not inside. I received a text on my phone to come inside and sit. The end of my torment was almost 4pm I was out of there! DMV is not known for customer service skills but this adds to the overall quality of service! I pray that the right person sees and hears this! I am not the only one. They just didn't take the time to...
Read moreIt pays to schedule an appointment online if you are pressed for time. I made an appointment, arrived 15 minutes prior as directed, checked in and needed a copy of one document. I left, retrieved it and was still seen in a record time. After I checked in which only took 2 -3 minutes, I sat and waited for the next clerk. Wouldn’t you know it my clerk was having a full conversation with another employee for 10 minutes that should have been had in his break out of sight. I was called, processed and when I took my photo, the flash had a delay and I walked away, head down, and blinked. I understand you want the line to keep moving but there was no line. Instead of allowing a retake, after talking about nothing with another employee it was deemed ok as long as he said so. He didn’t pay the $44, I did. To add insult to anger this is now a photo good for 8 years. Thanks! It’s great to know I was one of the people that made him come to work today. Stay home, if you are not committed to customer satisfaction or willing to pay fees on a product you deem is...
Read moreThe dmv office is the worst. I made an appointment because I thought I would be saving time. No, I walked in 20mins prior only to be told by the officer inside that I had to wait like everyone else. I told him I had an appointment he still sent me to the line. After about 40mins or so they finally came to ask if we had appointments and then waited another 20 to go inside. The lack of concern and time management is horrible and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but there's no other place in fayetteville that does this type of stuff. If it were me and I had all the time in the world I'd go to raliegh. Why make me make an appointment if I'm still going to be waiting in line? Ontop of that, you got empty windows why aren't there any workers on them helping folk?...
