I am completely disappointed in this facility, the lack of responsibility, and unprofessionalism. My husband had two very poor experiences, and I have had a very unpleasant conversation with someone stating they were a supervisor. The first encounter was roughly two weeks ago; when my husband was scheduled for an appointment slot during a lunch period. He waited for nearly an hour and a half; then was informed he wouldn't be seen until after they returned from lunch. Keep in mind, he has a second shift position at a location nearly 20 minutes away. He was unable to continue waiting, due to his shift start time, and was told he would have to reschedule, the soonest appointment being two weeks further. He accepted the new appointment time, and left. Today, he returned for his rescheduled appointment only to have yet another bad encounter. His appointment time was at 1pm. Somehow, appointment slots got confused, and my husband was not called back. Five different patients, who signed in after him, were called back. My husband approached the receptionist desk and inquired as to what the issue was. They advised him the wrong patient was called back in his slot time, and he would be seen shortly. It is now quarter after 2. He is told yet again he would have to reschedule his appointment, the soonest date being another two weeks further. Angry, he left without confirming the yet again rescheduled appointment. We live roughly 20 minutes out, and on two different occasions have not only wasted gas, but time on these "appointments". I called back to the Skin and Vein Center requesting to speak to a manager, and was shortly connected to someone stating they were in charge. When confronting her with the circumstances of what has happened, I was told... "Well what do you want me to say"... After further information was gathered, the supervisor stated that once it was realized the wrong patient was called back; they came out five minutes later to call back my husband. Which is the first lie. My husband say near the door, waiting for the situation to be rectified. She then stated my husband was informed he could be rescheduled for tomorrow, not two weeks out. Which is another lie. This appointment time was never offered; otherwise he would have taken the appointment time. My husband is supposed to be seen every two week, and this would be a month without so. The supervisor then had the audacity to say that my husband must have heard some type of miscommunication, and what I was stating was false. She advised that my husband was rude, and would not comply. Surely; she does not know the military training he has gone through for anger management and how to handle frustrating circumstances. Yet again; I called her out on this. She then stated that I wasn't the patient; and she would not talk to me. WHAT? I'm sorry, but I work at a cardiology center, where mistakes consistently occur.?I understand mistakes happen, but the first priority is making the "customer" happy. You are being paid to treat; and twice you have failed to do so. Needless to say; I ended the conversation with a "Nice to see this is how a well-rounded company like yourself treats someone who has served our country" and hung up. I will not refer anyone to this center, and I will certainly not be returning. Please reconsider other facilities before you make an...
Read moreThis has been the worst experience at a doctors office in my 50+ years. Referred to Dr. Sieger for hyperhidrosis of the scalp, met with the PA about botox and was told they would consult with Dr. Seiger about how much it would cost and I asked them to check with my insurance company about coverage. Didn't hear back from them so I called 10 days later and was told that the doctor said it would be $800. I asked if they checked with my ins. co. and was told no, I told them that that is what I had been waiting for. About a week later I got a call from the office stating that it was covered every few weeks for two years so I scheduled the appointment with Dr. Seiger. Went to the appointment for the Botox injections and it ended up being the PA doing them. The PA obviously didn't look at my file as she was going to give me the injections in my armpits and she was caught off guard when I said it was my scalp. By her reaction and comments I'm pretty sure I was her guinea pig for her first time doing this procedure for hyperhidrosis of the scalp. There was no change a week after the injections so I made another appointment with Dr. Seiger. This time I only saw one of the office staff who told me that it takes three weeks to take effect and if there wasn't any change at three weeks then I would need to call my insurance company. The insurance company asked why I was calling because the "doctors office needs to make a request for more botox or more often or both." I told the office what the insurance co. said and was told that they would take care of it. I followed up a week later and found that Dr. Seiger was never asked about it. They called back and said Dr. Seiger wants to see me. I asked why, I was supposed to see him three times by now and now he wants me to take more time off work to come in and tell him that it had very little effect? She told me that he would want to know about all other meds and treatment that I have tried. Obviously he hadn't looked at my chart and was only interested in billing me for another office call. I told her I was pretty sure I wouldn't be sweating when I came in and maybe a phone conversation would cover his other questions. I requested to skip the appointment and just have Dr. Seiger call. I received a call back with in 5 minutes and was told that Dr. Seiger said that the only thing he could do at this point was to refer me to U of M in Ann Arbor. So lets get this straight, Dr. Seiger skipped THREE appointments with me and when I elect to skip one with him he wants to drop me. It is of course all about the MONEY!!! I recommend finding another...
Read moreDr. Eric Seiger, Ashley, Leah and all the rest of the staff are amazing. From my very first phone call, all the emailed questions, and to my last follow up visit they have been so kind and wonderful. You can feel the love and care they have for each person. They have helped changed my life.
I was born with Craniosynostosis (Baby born without a soft spot, which causes facial deformities) as long as I can remember I have hid my face with my hair and I would not look people in the face or I would look away. I hated getting my picture taken, because I felt like I looked like a monster. This has caused me so much anxiety in my life and I am 47yrs old. My insecurities have affected my personal life, my career and dreams.
I traveled 4hrs from Circleville, Ohio to Skin and Vein in Livonia, Michigan. I was so scared and nervous, but again the amazing staff did everything to help me relax and feel comfortable. While I was waiting, a nurse walked by and said would you like something to drink? She got me a water and she gave me a cookie from her personal lunch. I didnât get her name, but she touched my heart with her kindness.
When I went back for my procedure, the nurse started explaining what was going to happen, and answered all my questions.
When Dr. Eric Seiger and all the other staff came in, they all had smiles on their faces. They seemed so happy, which made me feel more comfortable. All the staff seemed to love what they were doing. Dr. Eric Seiger held my hand to comfort me, as I told him my story, and he said; âThat is why I do thisâ. There was a nurse on both sides of me, and I remembered the touch of their hands felt like they were angels letting me know it was okay.
The whole experience has changed my life. The kindness and love that Dr. Eric Seiger and his staff gives each person makes a difference. They take care of you as if you were one of their own family members. I will be going back for more procedures to continue to help make my face as symmetrical as possible.
I would recommend to anyone that is thinking about or wanting to have some procedures done to do it! Love yourself you deserve it! Call or email the âSkin and Vein Centerâ you will not regret it.
Thank you Dr. Eric Seiger, Ashley, Leah and all the other staff. (I wish I had everyoneâs names so I could personally Thank you) I love you all.
Sincerely!
Dottie OâBannon
