Great small beach. Good docks and covered picnic areas. Easy to get to. Not sure how ideal it is for swimming and the beach is rather short (which is kind of good). Plenty of shells for shark's teeth hunting. The beach was weird in that it had a really steep drop off, but not so much that it made the waves break really hard, just was difficult to leap down from soft sand ledge to the more compact sand (literally about a two foot vertical right angle drop). Even harder to get back up.

One of the last remaining g beaches on the East Coast you can drive onto with a 4x4 truck. It’s a small drive on and park on the sand section (about 500ft). They have a life guard for protection of swimmers. They also have a walkover (seaside park) with access to a restroom and covered lockbox tables. Close to hotels and restaurants.

Nice convenient park to watch sunrise over ocean especially at close Hilton, Residence Inn or other local hotels. If 4WD watch sunrise right on beach in warmth on chilly mornings! Not a deep beach to sit with jeeps and trucks parked but very pretty. Limited parking as well. Appears doggies on beach welcome based on observation.

A waste of lumber, a missed opportunity to create a usable space by the beach. No playground, and relatively little seating space in a park in view of the ocean. There IS a place to rinse off the sand, but that's it. The wood is old and splintered in places, so be careful. The boardwalk, so to speak, leads out to the beach, and there is a ramp if you're towing a cart full of chairs from the...

It was beautiful and the shores were full of shells. There were thick waves of shells across the sand. I wanted to just fill a bag up and then go through it to see if i could find a sharks tooth. Off season is still a good time to visit. I love just packing up for a weekend and taking off to go relax. I love listening to the crashing waves...
