The Kennedy Douglas Art Center is a must stop for visits to Florence Alabama. The Art Center is located in a historic neighborhood and is in Two Story Victorian Home. The whole first floor is dedicated to viewing artists' work encompassing paint, photography, woodworking, sculptures, pottery, print, and other mediums. The staff are polite and helpful. Parking is predominantly roadside, though there is a small parking area behind the building, more for Artwork deliveries. They hold an annual Juried Gallery showing along with an outdoor festival, every spring. The building is...

My family really enjoyed walking through this exhibit. The Children's Classic collection was very informative and nostalgic for me. My kids enjoyed reading the books that were laying around on tables. The staff were friendly and kind to my kids. Didn't take us too long to read about each of the paintings, only about an hour.
