A beautiful exhibition and be warned before going into this huge enclosed well made Aquarium with ice roads on the top and water displayed in the bottom that safeguard you with Plexiglass on the midpoint all the way to the bottom of the gallons and gallons of water. The temperature inside this exhibition is very cold and I measured the temperature at a freezing 20 degress and this is due to the temperature that the penguins need in order to be in their natural habitat. Please do not do the same mistake I did by going to the Waterpark and immediately going to this exhibition wet because you will freeze and shake as I did with my guests. This experience was breataking, the immersive sounds are astonishing, and visually this enclosure is one of the best exhibitions this park has to offer, "I dare to write I have never witnessed any exibit like this in the states", I was only able to post these few pictures from the outside because inside the exhibition I took some video only. The videos will be available on YouTube later on today. I highly recommend this exhibition to you and your...
Read moreThis is a fun little area, and a really great way to cool off on a hot day. They mean it, when they warn you about the exhibit, too. You get a warning that you need to be completely dry before setting foot inside and when you go in, you'll see Sea World employees wearing parkas.
I'm not sure exactly what the temp is inside, but if it's above 40 degrees, I'd be surprised. They are penguins, after all.
I believe there may have been a ride here at one point, but at this point it is simply a penguin exhibit, where they can huddle around each other, swim, nap or whatever. There's all manner of them in here as well. It's a good place to see the birds and get out of the heat.
One of my favorite things here was the fact that there was a young chick (of the penguin type) holding flippers with what I can only assume was a mother. It was pretty sweet. The picture is here if you want to...
Read moreOnce of our favorites rides at Sea World. This is one of the "most go" when we visit the park. The temperature inside is super cold but in a good summer day in florida,it will be refreshing. My older kids are ok with the change in temperature. The younger ones(5 and 1) feel it more. I usually have an oversize shirt (a few sizes bigger)for them to wear on top off their close as soon as they enter the building. note: A t-shirt take hardly any space plus it will have many uses( as a pj in the way back or towel when wet, sun shade...). The ride is an animated movie that kids all ages enjoy. It's a bit dark in some areas and little ones get a bit anseous usually turning the flashlight on cell helps for my 1 yr old. At theend of the ride the coldest area comes, the penguin exhibit. We enjoy seen the penguin interact in their habitat. If we are to cold we go to the glass room because...
