If I could leave a lower score I would. DO NOT BELIEVE THE WEBSITE. I have a lot of sports cards of all kinds and a few other gaming and misc. collector cards, i went in with a few and the guy there wouldn't even look at them his response was "boss man starts pay at 15$ an hr. I would be losing money if i went through all these". FYI I have had my collection looked at and a couple of them appraised and you did loose money but you lost it on what could have been an awesome deal for you and a return customer. I will make sure to tell everyone I know on every platform exactly how you treated and dismissed me. You should never judge a book by its cover you have no idea who really might be walking in your store, or what might be hidden among the chaos. In response to your response the only time a second employee could have looked at my stuff was the minute I went to my car and once again I didn’t say all my cards were valuable but there are some that was there was a win situation it would be good customer service which I did not get and how dare you try to down me or make me look bad cause I had cards in baggies so when someone doesn’t agree with your employees actions your choice is to go online and try to make the customer look bad that’s what reviews are for and you wasn’t even there 1st amendment doesn’t apply at your store definitely glad I didn’t do business with your store now and I stick to my review wish I could leave less than a star especially after...
Read moreLeaving 5 stars because the rating system is dumb and hurts small businesses but I would really rate it 3.5 stars if that wasn’t how the rating system worked.
Staff seems super friendly although they didn’t pay much attention to me. But how i watched the staff interact with other people in the store, especially children, they seem really great. It’s tuff running a store like this. Margins I know are slim. But speaking on Pokémon cards specifically prices here are above average compared to other local stores. Typically you see 10-20% more than tcg at a store. Which is expected and it’s good to support a local shop. But some sealed product here is 40-60% more than what’s readily available online.
I did make a comment that something seemed pretty high and the response I got was “well that’s what we got them for” kind of in a brushed off manner. But I’m a 34 year old dude in a store with a bunch of kids lol obviously she prioritized taking care of them over me which is totally fair.
Edited my review to be more specific and actually changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars because after 30 minutes of thinking about it and also running a small business I hate it when people just...
Read moreCant recommend this place enough. They will always be the first local shop I spend my money when I’m looking for cards. My son got me back into collecting with his interest in pokemon and this is one few local shops that still offers product at MSRP so huge shoutout for that. Everyone there is always very friendly, and more impressively, patient with inherently high number of kids and question askers in a store like that. They routinely update their Google listing with new product arrivals and even have a loyalty system with accrued store credit and texting for new product drops. Aside from the wide selection of Pokemon, Magic, One Piece and many other tcg products, they seem to have recently gotten into some sports cards as well (or maybe I just never noticed), and I scored a super clean Griffey rookie this week from their singles case. I’m embarrassed to say I don’t know any of the employees names, but shout out to the younger guy with the dark hair and glasses. He’s great with the kids, seemingly recognizes all the repeat customers and is knowledgeable on a wide variety of products in the store, not just cards. Service with a smile goes a long way,...
