Came in for lunch about 1 today for the first time. First things first the kitchen ventilation hood is not working at all. It was hazy from all the smoke off the grill and fryers. I do not recommend eating inside until this problem is fixed as it's eye-searing and leaves your clothes reeking. This is a major issue that needed to be addressed yesterday, and I personally will not be returning until it is fixed. A friend of mine visited last week and said it was pretty smokey then, so it seems like an ongoing issue and not like I happened to come on a bad day. At least it the AC was set pretty cool inside.
Despite this, I got the Lit. It was actually really good for the most part. The bacon, jalapeƱos, and meat were tasty (mostly, but we'll get to that) and the whole thing came together pretty good. There were two problems, though. One, the top bun was a little over-toasted for my taste (it was NOT burned, though). I like a crunch, but it was kind of hard like the crust on baked garlic bread. Secondly, the back half of my burger was extremely salty. Maybe the whole thing was, but I really started noticing it about halfway through. I love salt, salty foods, and savory tastes the most, but the meat or the bun or something was just way oversalted. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a common issue and my wife's burger was also too salty suggesting it might be the meat.
I was surprised that the fried pickles didn't come with any ranch. They were fine, but at $5 I don't think I'd get them again. I'd like to try the different french fries and seasoning. I loved the options for loaded fries, but that's more of a sit and hang out type of food (and the BYOB on the door suggests that's is the idea), but I couldn't wait to leave and get some fresh air.
The frozen lemonade was very sour and delicious. My wife got the regular lemonade which wasn't quite as sour but still pretty good. I would like to try the other fun flavors, and I like the idea. That said I wish they had a soda fountain rather than cans, but that's not too big of a deal.
Overall this place has a couple major, but fixable, issues and promising burger recipes that could truly make this "the best burger on earth." I understand that they just opened a little over two weeks ago, so I'm willing to return sometime in the future. But please calm down on the salt and get some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen you walk in the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere was really calm and relaxing. Floors clean, nice clean seating area, you can tell they take pride in their establishment.
Customer service was amazing very friendly staff. Hat's off to the lady at the counter she was so pleasant and welcoming.
Now let's get to it.....
I'm always looking for a new spot to chill and enjoy a really good lunch that won't break the bank... I found it so if you're looking for a healthy twist on a classic favorite, the turkey burger at Burgerlicious is a solid option. The patty itself is juicy and flavorful, with a nice blend of seasonings that bring out the natural flavor of the turkey. To achieve a really good moist turkey burger that doesnāt feel or taste dry is a tricky balance to achieve.
The toppings are fresh and customizable, so you can go for the classic lettuce, tomato, and onions or spice things up with the grilled onions and special sauce (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) or whatever else your taste buds desire. The bun is a soft lightly toasted/grilled Brioche Bun and has just enough give, holding everything together without getting soggy. One standout feature is the sauce optionsāAlthough I recommend (the special sauce) Burgerlicious lets you choose from a variety of sauces, each bringing a different twist. Again ya'll The Special Sauce pairs really well with the turkey, adding a twist to the favorable burger.
The fries at Burgerlicious are a must-try! Theyāre perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, with a soft, fluffy center. Seasoned just right. You have the option to add a twist to your fries so just know the fries can be a meal all by itself but I ordered lightly seasoned fries this time next time it's the lemon pepper fries...lol
The price is reasonable for the quality, and itās a great choice if youāre trying to stick to a lighter option without sacrificing taste.
All in all, Burgerlicious has created a turkey burger thatās far from just a āhealthy alternativeā to beef. It stands out as a delicious choice on its own, packed with flavor and made with quality ingredients. Whether youāre a health-conscious eater like myself or just looking to change up your burger game, the turkey burger at Burgerlicious is worth trying. Itās a lighter but equally satisfying option that proves you donāt need to sacrifice flavor for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son loves burgers and pizza so we went there for a dinner the Friday after his birthday after work. The place was empty but then again it's been open less than a year and didn't know about it. I say this because it's in the same shopping center as Aldi's. I shop at Aldi's at least every few weeks. Their sign is not as readable from across the parking lot. The place is bright and has Christmas/ festive lights at night to greet you. The sign works on paper/ print materials but needs to be bigger in order to be legible from the street or across the parking lot. Nori sushi is next to them and their out door sign is readable from the street and Aldi's front door. Oh! You say? Now you know where it's at.
The food is good. Hands down a good burger. I know this because my eleven year old son exclaimed in an outside voice - OH MY GOD! - We looked at him and asked what was wrong? He waved his had at us and kept chewing. A few seconds later he finally spoke after swallowing his first bite. This is sooo good! And then took another bite... He didn't talk much after that until he finished eating the burger and then started eating the fries. He had the Heaven burger combo with the fries and drink (12oz can). This is a simple 1/3 pound meat, cheese, sauce and buns arrangement. Lettuce, tomato and onion will cost extra on this burger. Other burgers have these items built in. My brother had the same burger and liked it. How much you say? He ordered another one as soon as he finished! He also ordered a lemonade and also liked it. I shared an order of loaded fries with my wife. This was a meal in itself. We had the Buffalo Ranch fries with ground turkey. The ranch was creamy, the hit sauce tasted like Frank's and the ground turkey was nicely seasoned. It had a lot of fries and cheese under the pile of meat and sauce. We were stuffed and satisfied with our choice and will be back to work ourselves through the menu. The place is bright and simple in inside. It has an island feel with bright turquoise and hot pink colors on titanium white walls. The only problem is the sewer smell that hits you when you walk in the door. You can get used to it by the time you order is ready. I don't think it's their fault. It maybe the foundation/ sewage problem in that old...
