Second time where I have had pharmacy issues. The first time a provider sent in a rx, and they claimed he asked for the wrong medication (even though he got it from their formulary), after 3 - 4 hours of wrangling with this , Walgreens acknowledged, they got the prescription and it would take 2 - 3 hours to get filled, no problem. About 4 hours went by I called the pharmacy to inquire about my prescription, and was told they were out of stock and were not sure when they would get it in. so here I go calling the doctor to see about getting it transferred to another pharmacy (not Walgreens), it was done and in less than 3 hours my prescription was ready. Due to a sudden onset of an issue my provider sent a prescription to Walgreens for me to pick up, unbeknownst to me at the time, to make a long story short, I was supposed to get the prescription yesterday the 24th., called the pharmacy and was informed that my prescription would not be ready until today after 4PM. Lo and behold I get an alert now saying the medication is out of stock, and they will let me know when its ready. My question is I am pretty sure they know their stock level when they get prescriptions, why do they not contact you and inform you of this to see if you would like to transfer it to another Walgreens, or contact your doctor to see about discontinuing your prescription with them and sending it to another pharmacy with the patients permission. This seems to be an ongoing practice with Walgreens, and whether you need something urgent or not they are not going to notify you they will just hold on to your prescription until they can fill it. Basically, its about money, they don't care about you and you needs when it comes to prescriptions, but they care a whole lot about getting your money from the sale of prescriptions. Walgreens used to be very reliable and good at what they do, but today they do not care. I can say this honestly if I had told my provider to send my prescription though the mail order service, I am sure I would get my prescription in less time than its taking Walgreens, and without all of these excuses. It's sad to say but a grocery store chain, has much better service when it comes to prescriptions, and trust me I will be using that grocery store chain to fill prescriptions that I...
Read moreLast Friday (Oct 11), my wife and I made an online appointment to get flu shots on October 14 at 11:00 a.m. However, after arriving at 10:50 a.m. on the 14th and waiting for the vaccination, no one called us even by 11:30. If it was going to take this long, I don't understand why we were asked to make an appointment. At other places, getting a flu shot as a walk-in takes less than 10 minutes. I don't understand why it’s so difficult here. If it’s going to take this long, you should consider not offering appointments at all to better meet customer expectations. Once again, I’m reminded why I don’t want to visit the Walgreens in Forney. The management and pharmacy services there are really frustrating. I would rather drive an extra 30 minutes to go somewhere else.
I’m curious how Walgreens continues to run its business if no one listens to complaints like this. Also, I canceled today’s flu shot and left without getting vaccinated.
Please read all the reviews on Google. If there are only one or two negative reviews, it could be personal. However, when many people report bad experiences, it suggests there are underlying issues with either the store's management, employees, or the...
Read moreI am revising my review. I was going to give it 1 star initially. This pharmacy is always busy and you have to wait forever. I believe it is because we have an explosive growth in Forney. Forney should better plan and zone but this would be another review. It looks like this Walgreens has new people and that their prescription volume may be high. This is the same situation with CVS as well. All stores in Forney are crazy and chaotic. Always waiting despite you trying to time to deal with less crowds and traffic. At Walgreens, I needed a second vaccine and made an appointment at their site. They said I should make an appointment for the vaccine. But I showed them I did. Then they asked me to come back because they were busy after I made an appointment. After this disappointing comment, I was waiting for my prescriptions. I guess they decided to give me my scheduled vaccine after all. I am glad the Pharmacist made that decision to do so. I understand their pain points but as a customer, I am following their appointment recommendations. Oh well. Only waited...
