I stayed here from March 22-April 12 2024 for business along with other coworkers. While staying there on April 6th myself and a few other coworkers left the hotel on one of our few days off. I took my do not disturb sign off my door to allow the housekeepers to come in and clean while I was out. I was gone from around 1130am to about 430pm. When I returned the room was cleaned but after relaxing in my room for a bit I noticed that my family heirloom gold ring valued over $3k which I had put with other rings that I had was missing. I had put the rings behind personal items and out of sight on the desk in the room. I immediately began searching everything in the room including under the beds and within the bedding. I went over the room approximately 3 times to ensure it did not fall somewhere. After my search I went to the front desk and filed a report with them, the next morning I spoke with the Assistant General Manager Kelcie Faulk, and she told me that they had conducted an internal investigation to no avail, and recommended that I file a police report. I then contacted the police and told them all the information that I knew and filed a police report. 2 of my coworkers, who were in rooms next to me notified me that during a search of their room in the event something was missing and found that $6 dollars from each of their rooms had gone missing after the housekeeper came by on April 6th. I then notified the management and the police of this new information. On April 8th I was able to speak to the General Manager Paula Evans along with my coworkers who had the money stolen from them. Paula was very apologetic and said she was doing everything she could do, but also said that she was willing to give information about the employee so I could search for my ring. This came off as extremely unprofessional and did not ease my mind that my ring was going to get returned nor would I receive any compensation. Paula also informed us that the housekeeper was placed on temporary leave while the investigation could be conducted and she offered my coworkers and I a $13 drink voucher for our troubles. This really showed my coworkers and I that she thought that little of what was going on because the thought of someone going into our rooms and stealing our things made us consider leaving that hotel immediately and all that we got was a drink voucher. We then made plans to stay at a hotel in Pensacola later that week and for the remainder of the stay we left our do not disturb signs up so that housekeeping could not enter. On our last and final day during checkouts another one my coworkers was bringing his personal items down to his truck and was making a few trips this was approximately at 12pm on April 12th, and when he came back from one of his trips to the vehicle which took no longer than 5 minutes, and he had left his do not disturb sign up, he found a housekeeper was in his room. He immediately looked and found that the items he left on his bedside table which included money was missing. He immediately confronted the housekeeper and asked where his items were at. The housekeeper said she had already thrown it away, my coworker did not believe that and told her not to play with him because no one throws away money, she reached into her pocket, gave him his items back, and ran out of the room. After hearing about this I immediately went to the front desk with my coworkers and asked to speak to one of the managers. I was told neither were there or will be in that day, that is when I turned around and saw Paula standing in the parking lot talking to the maintenance man. I informed her of what just happened as did my coworker and all she did was apologize and went back inside. We did not get anything other than an apology and no updates on any of our missing items or anything related to the events that happened. We have been left completely in the dark and now that we know that the Beal House hires thieves none of us want to stay there and it makes us hesitant to stay at Hilton...
Read moreThis hotel was absolutely PERFECT! The staff was so kind and amazing. They were very attentive and did a great job at making sure that everything was up to par. We had an issue with a slight smell when you first walked it our room. They sent someone up right away to check it out, although they couldn't find out where it came from either. They did leave air freshener with us and it definitely helped. And they advised they were going to tear the room apart when we left to figure out the issue. We weren't concerned with switching rooms cause it wasn't completely unbearable and we needed a room close to the elevator. We also had an issue with the air not cooling properly but again, they sent someone up immediately and fixed the problem and even showed us that we had the settings wrong so it was causing issues for us. After that, we had no problems. They would send us a text to ask us how our stay was going and we even responded with our issues through that text. They were very attentive! I did have a situation where I needed their help with my toddler in telling her we couldn't crab hunt one night (we were super exhausted) and they even helped me out with that! Haha. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Plus, this hotel is right on the beach with its own access to the beach. They have a pool and they provide a community toy basket for the kids to use at the pool or beach if needed. The shower was perfect, a very decent size! And the water pressure was great. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were as well. The small kitchenette we had in our room had a mini fridge, microwave, dishwasher, sink, dishes, tabletop stove, and dishes to cook with! I'm not sure if all rooms have this, but ours did. The restaurant at the hotel was good, food was decent although some of the waiters were not as hospitable as you would expect, but overall not bad.
We will absolutely choose to stay here again in the future! This hotel was amazing and the staff honestly made the stay that much more enjoyable! (Sorry the only pics I have are of the view...
Read moreThe evening I checked in, the girl was super kind and welcoming. Our room was on the 2nd floor and very accessible from the parking lot. The covering over the window limited any sort of view outside, that was disappointing. We were told the restaurant was pretty good BUT WHAT WE WERE NOT TOLD UNTIL SEATED - The restaurant was still running their “valentine “ menu so options were very limited- it was mediocre fried food and not worth the cost, I felt like the boom boom shrimp plate was more of an appetizer not filling - my husband had the burger each 2 beers in a can & was $50! Noticed the next morning that the menu was posted on the front lobby desk, but it was not there the night before and I told it was probably was down for cleaning and apologize to. I didn’t make a fuss though. Keep in mind that the room does NOT include a free breakfast. If you pay extra for the breakfast you will only get a $20 voucher per person. For some that might be okay. The girl who checked me in was very upfront about that and it was much appreciated - so we opted out for the breakfast vouchers. The room itself was very spacious & clean. The shower water was super hot - no complaints there, along with the water pressure. It was spot on!! We had a king size bed. It was very comfortable, and the pillows were not like the typical hotel pillows. They were actually full pillows and very comfortable as well. The only thing we did not like about the bed was how low it was to the floor. TV was huge. Plenty of towels and extra roll of toilet paper. I also appreciate the fact that they had shampoo & conditioner and body wash as well as lotion in the shower and the shampoo and conditioner, I actually chose to try them out over my own and they were fabulous! Now we paid $148 for 1 night on an off season - I personally do not think for the price it was worth it - not sure what their prices will be once spring break starts but knowing what I know now, I cannot foresee paying much more then we did this 1 night. This is MY opinion so it might not...
