It's unfortunate that my cousin and I was treated with such disrespect by I am assuming was the owner or manager. I am visiting from Los Angeles and I asked my cousin to take me to this lounge because I frequent Hookah lounges in LA. After, the kind female allowed us entrance, we didn't even step 5 steps in the door b4 this man turned us away and asked us to leave. I have no other reason to think that was because we were black. He didn't have enough time to base it on anything else. It's unfortunate because he is a foreigner...not sure exactly of what country but it really bothers me when brown foreigners judge and think they are better than brown Americans. However, that is not my point, I personally support all, but it upset me to think we were judged and refused service based on seconds of seeing us, not speaking with us...just seeing us. Additional background, I'm female, my cousin is male. He is a MD and I'm a PhD... also doesn't matter, however this man judge us on seconds of looking at us. I would highly suggest that all people do not support this business, that people give their hard earned money to businesses who have people who respect all! If this man wasn't the owner and the owner is reading this, I would hope you would speak with this man and teach him to treat people as he would like to be treated or have others treat his daughter,...
Read moreHonestly, I go all the time because it's the only hookah bar withing 45 miles. The service is pretty slow, drinks over priced, and you get charged an extra $5 just by having another person smoking the same hookah as you. Used to enjoy the pool table but the sticks appear to have been used in war during the Battle of Gettysburg. Buutttttt, on the upside, the hookah is...er, not bad. Like, 'kinda good' not bad, not 'awful' not bad. Enough to not make me miss $14 that much. Comfortable spot, chill spots for dates until you either have Indian music blasted in you ear so loud, a party in New Dehli is bobbing to Hookah corner's music. Sometimes a belly dancer is there, and it's charming. At first. Until that awkward moment when she approaches your table when you just wanna vibe in peace with your cute Tinder date and she points to the basket on her head with a cardboard sign taped on with 'Tips' written on. Then you mouth to her that you don't carry cash and now you look like a belly dancer-hating a-hole. But hey, I give it a two because it's more known that the management isn't fair to it's female workers and I feel if a second hookah bar opened in town, capitalism would tear them asunder. If you have a tobacco craving and don't wanna drive to Pensacola, I'd still say drop in. I mean, you have an awful time. Just not anywhere close to 5 stars...
Read moreMy friends and I came into this establishment to enjoy the vibe and hang out for a bit. We ordered and paid for our drinks and had a seat. Not even 10 minutes later, the owner comes up to us and tells us that if we're not going to order hookah then we can't sit there. I asked "so where are we supposed to sit so we can finish our drinks?" And his response was "go sit outside" (it was raining) . At that point , we got up and left. That is absolutely NO way to treat paying customers! Yes, it's a hookah lounge however not everybody actually smokes hookah. Some of us just go for the drinks (which are poor quality and nasty anyway) and to enjoy the music and people. I will NEVER step foot in this building again, especially not with the owner treating customers like that. They're lucky they are the only hookah lounge in this area because if somebody opens up another one with even a quarter more respect and couth , hookah corner would be out of business. This place can go to h*ll. I'm not saying this because of my one bad experience here... I've been here multiple times. Every time we go, it's something else new / different rules that take away from the simple experience of hanging out at a...
