10/10 a must do for your trip if you donāt feel like renting a boat on your own! We also wanted to do something a little later in the day (to avoid any more sunburn š¬) and their 4:45 was the right choice! BYOB, kid-friendly, and apparently fun for husbandās who insist on searching for crabs on crab island! Iād say we had 2 āunfortunateā events that occurred that were completely out of anyoneās control and handled amazingly! 1.) My daughter and I both were stung by jellyfish (or what weāre thinking weāre floating tentacles, as we were just on the mats provided, and none were seen), and the captain handled it so well, ready with some rubbing alcohol! My daughter was back in the water after calming down, and I am just grateful to have had someone with the kindness and knowledge she did! 2.) We were rained out of maybe half the ride. However, also handled very well by the captain! We were holding on to the idea the storm would pass, but it happens! I donāt hold it against anyone, and my kids still say this was one of the biggest highlights of their week! My only suggestion to everyone- book through their site and not a 3rd party! That made it a tad more complicated than it needed to be, but that was 100% the 3rd party sitesā fault (their were multiple other sites and couples/families on our ride that had the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a group of 5 for the tiki cruise, and we were slightly disappointed upon arrival due to poor communication of the website and clearly showing that a private cruise was not what was paid for, but instead 5 seats on a boat of 30+ people. We were unaware of the need to wait at picnic tables in order to board the boat, and when we were trying to walk around and ask weāre told abruptly to wait on docks. Once we got to the docks we were then told to wait at the picnic tables in a fairly rude way, others had also been spoken too rudely and organization wasnāt a forte so maybe some better signage instead of just correcting people for not knowing what to do? While we did have fun on the water (how could you not) our expectations werenāt met as far as customer service in the beginning of the day. Also another odd thing I found was when the boat captain was doing his announcements he told everyone that is was customary to tip 20% of the excursion price of your group, and as a server telling anyone how much they should tip is unprofessional and honestly rude. Again, had fun on the water, music was good, ice in coolers, water, and plenty of floats, but had we of known we were paying a $60 cover fee for a bar taxi to crab island we probably wouldāve...
