Poptique — Local services in Fort Wayne

Mixed thoughts on this business. First off, I love the story behind the business, no hate on that. I would hate for it to fail and I will say overall, service was great. We took home the Hoosier Mix and S’mores mix. We spent $50 between the two and I thought that was pretty pricy for two gallons of popcorn but that's not the reason for my deduction of stars. For a store that specialized in popcorn I would have though the popcorn would be fresh, it was not. Unfortunately we did get rather stale popcorn. It was undoubtedly old, I'm assuming at least a few days if not a week. I do think this business would be success in a Chicago or a New York side town but with the foot traffic of fort Wayne I can see why they end up with 25 gallon buckets of week old popcorn. went here for the sidewalk sale and was very disappointed. all of the popcorn was stale and chewy. we got several sample packs and all the flavors were like that. the kettle corn was especially unpleasant as it was very over salted. since this was the sidewalk i would assume they would put their best foot forward knowing it would busy and its unfortunate this was the best they could do. -Edit after response from the owner- This was a 3 years ago so I don't remember the details super clearly. We had so much fun with Vera at Poptique the other evening, who allowed us to try many flavors. She was as excited about the excellent popcorn as we were. Poptique has the most amazing, reasonably priced popcorn anywhere. The best! Better than popcorn I've payed a lot for in Chicago. Dill Pickle flavor is amazing! My favorite was Sweet Heat. They have Banana Split, and Strawberry Lemonade flavors for Summer. They have gift boxes, and tins, and they ship all over the country. You can park in the parking garage right across the street, or at a meter close by. I can't wait to go back, and I will be sending popcorn to out of town relatives at Christmas....
