Central Bible Church — Attraction in Fort Worth

I usually never leave reviews for churches but here I am as a first. My wife and I have been to a few dozen churches in the DFW area in search of a home. Central Bible Church was overall not a comforting experience. The sermon was excellent and I loved the pastor. However, we attended the young adults with no children class for a few moments (approximately 15 minutes). We walked in and there were maybe 10 people in this room. No one said hello so I took it upon my self to say good morning to the young men at the table next to the empty table we were just about to seat ourselves at. My wife and I stick out like a sore thumb just given the way we look as I am African American and she is Chinese. After sitting, we continued to sit there for what felt like ages when like I said earlier it was maybe 15 - 20 minutes. NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON GREETED US THE ENTIRE TIME WE SAT. NO, THIS IS NO EXAGGERATION. We decided to respectfully stand and left and on the way out a woman said to us, “Thank y’all for coming.” That was the only interaction we had with anyone in that room. I don’t say these things to discourage those from attending. However, I am very strong on making others feel welcomed in any church environment. This was meant to be constructive criticism and I hope these problems are addressed and that this review is not deleted and swept...

We joined this wonderful community in 2005, and currently may not have an active membership due to life interference. Our attendance has been consistent and sporadic over the years, and we have remained connected with our homegroup for 17 years. These precious family members have celebrated our victories, prayed during our valleys and loved us unconditionally. Our family has been attending Pantego Bible Church for 2.5 years now. We had recently relocated to TX, and after visiting several churches in the area, we knew that Pantego would be our new church home!

The Biblical teaching is sound and the Word of God is handled with care. The pastors are able to share God's word in an engaging way, never shying away from God's truths, even when they are difficult or challenging.

The children's and students' ministries are loving and invested in the discipleship of each child and his/her family. These leaders made our move to Texas a less difficult transition for our kids by loving on them and embracing them...making them feel welcome and wanted...
