No Frills Grill & Sports Bar - Fort Worth — Restaurant in Fort Worth

First of all I want to say while my waitress provided lackadaisical service, she was extremely nice when I did finally see her. In all fairness this waitress was waiting almost on the entire food side of the bar. She was also having to deal with Uber and to-go orders. I was hoping to pop in and get a quick lunch since I only had an hour total and thought that would work. It took forever to get my order placed with many other people's order. The food took a while because of the amount of orders which is not the waitresses fault. The waitress never checked on me during the wait or to let me know that my food was coming at some point soon or anything for that matter. My food was delivered by another individual, whereas I immediately noticed there was no mayonnaise and had to ask. The quickest thing was retrieving the two packets of mayonnaise. I ordered a BLT combo which was probably the worst that I've ever had. My tomatoes were mushy, lettuce Brown on the ends, and bacon extremely overcooked and I love crispy bacon. The tater tots were probably only cooked once but seemed as though they had been reheated in the grease and werrsuper greasy. While I have eaten at this establishment before I understand that it is sort of a sports bar beer joint fast food. However, come on. The food and service could be a little better and I would have loved if my waitress would have came by just one time to ask if I needed a refill or how the food was. She never did. I'm the guy who went up to the counter asked for my check and left a zero dollar tip. I cannot remember the last time or if I've even ever done that before. I didn't eat my food, I didn't enjoy the experience at all and most of it was directly caused by simple things that could have been easily rectified and I wasn't looking for anything above the standard. I will definitely not be back to this location as I hate wasting money and really hate being put in the position of not giving a waitress or waiter a tip who has served my table. I have been coming here since I moved here in 2017, the food is good and the service is always good…… until tonight. I made an order for pick up like I have many times before, I ordered the 10 piece buffalo wings as I always do whether I dine in or pick up. The wings are always good and even tho there is a Wing Stop across the street I usually opt to come here instead. I got home and opened my box and there were nothing but drums in the box. I am a flats person, but I never order just all flats because it’s not that big of a deal and I can deal with the mixture, but not to have one flat is just crazy. I called because I know I didn’t order only drums so I was confused on why that would be the only thing in the box. The guy that answered the phone totally understood and said he would talk to the manager to see if they could fix it, he came back to the phone to say the manager said no. I asked to speak to the manager (Drew) and explained to him my problem. He then said that they do not offer all flats or all drums, but whatever the cooks grab is what gets cooked. I understand they don’t put a certain number of each in the orders, but it contradicts not being able to place an order of all flats or all drums. I asked can they just fix the order and he said no because there is nothing wrong with it. If a customer is not happy with their order it is not your place to tell them what’s not wrong with it, especially when they are spending their money in your establishment and they are the one’s that have to eat it. He pretty much was saying you got what you got so that’s it. That is not good customer service and had I dined in and said I was not happy with my order they would have taken it back and offered something else. This is unacceptable. Went to the nearby movie theatre with the fam many years ago. Aunt was hungry and decided to stop here to sneak food into the theatre. She got the Philly cheesesteak. I remember it looking soooo good but she was like it's just ok. Nothing great. Well I frequent this area quite often and have skipped over it until recently because it seems more like a loud sports bar. Not my type of crowd. Well I was recently invited to come watch a game and agreed to come and decided to finally try some of the food myself. Yea; no never again. Fries and Dr pepper great but that's where it stopped. The bacon cheeseburger just wasn't flavorful at all. I decided to try a piece of the meat by itself cause I kept thinking wow this seems awfully bland maybe the toppings are just overpowering the meat. I tasted the patty and it's the patty. Quite bland. The burger gives very much frozen filler meat patty. My dinner mate tried it and agreed. For the life of me i can't recall what they ordered aside from the pinto beans. They said their food was just ok too. I also got the funnel cake fries. They were ok. Not bad. I'm not a drinker so I feel like this place is total bar food. Meaning if you're drinking and into the sports on the screens, i don't think you'll clue in on how mediocre the food is cause you're just there for the good time. Our server was great though.
