I've always had a very pleasant stay at this hotel numerous times previous without fault whenever passing through the DFW area until February 28, 2017. The hotel itself is much of what you would expect for La Quinta in their class rating. My dissolution comes from having my 2015 Ford F150 King Ranch Platinum Edition Truck burglarized and vandalized. Personal items stolen and strewn about the parking lot. It took UPPER management the better of two and a half hours to #1. Acknowledge me as their guest whom had been violated. 2. Never gave me the "option" to view the "POOR/GRAINY" video surveillance of the vandalism/burglary (The officer who took the report stated that the video surveillance was "POOR/GRAINY and of no use to them in identifying the suspects in question. At best he could only tell that the suspects drove into the parking lot in a mid-sized tan import truck. Dropped off one of the suspects who was dressed in all black, wearing a hoodie and gloves to do the vandalism and momentarily returning to pick him/her up thus escaping the scene".) 3. I had to call the police department again MYSELF after two and a half hours of waiting for an officer to arrive. There is ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNAGE posted about the hotel not being RESPONSIBLE FOR anything happening to your vehicle while on their PRIVATE PROPERTY. 4. Hotel MANAGEMENT or STAFF DID NOT caution or warn of PREVIOUS burglaries happening recently. (10 within this past weeks of business) I reckon if they were to inform possible guests it would be bad for business. The only consolation we received was a refund for our room and apologies for our troubles. My recommendations for anyone would be as follows: Yes the rooms are clean and comfortable despite the highway noise from the interstate. The water pressure is very low. The elevator is also VERY slow. The breakfast is what one would expect. You can hear other guests passage through the hallways and corridor's. The receptionist is as pleasant as can be, she just doesn't have the authority to be of any assistance in a "crisis/burglary" situation. The only thing you will hear after unintentionally becoming a victim is "I'm waiting for my General Mgr. to arrive", "My manager is viewing the video", & "I'm so sorry for your...
Read moreWorst experience I've ever had at a hotel. The hotel itself was not bad, and most of the staff was okay... but the guy named Greg working the night shift was more than enough to wipe out all the decent things about this hotel. Two nights in a row he called our room to tell us to "quiet down". We weren't making any more noise than what a normal family does. He even called my 65 year-old mother down the hall and told her to keep the noise down. She was asleep. He said the hotel had thin walls. So we had to spend our last two nights tip-toeing and whispering to avoid being harassed by "Greg at the front desk".
To top it off.... the last night we spent there was Saturday, July 4th. We were out by the pool watching the fireworks shows going on around us. At 10:15 pm "Greg" comes out to the pool and tells us that we need to leave the pool area because we are being too loud and the pool closes at 10 pm. Keep in mind that I-30 is about 100 ft from the pool and a lot louder than 3 kids swimming. "Greg" informs us that he will call his manager and the cops if we don't leave the pool area immediately. So we tip-toe back up to our room, passing 4 or 5 screaming, running kids in the hall. A few minutes later we look out the window and there are 2 other families down at the pool enjoying a Saturday night swim, unbothered. Meanwhile, my 4 year-old and 8 year-old went to bed with tears in their eyes because they thought the cops were coming to get them. Unacceptable.
We'll never go back to this hotel or any other LaQuinta for that matter. Every Comfort Suites I've ever stayed at is head-and-shoulders above this hotel. This LaQuinta may have been a decent option when it was brand new, but it's rapidly approaching the same level of quality of every other LaQuinta hotel out there..... which is crap. At least the beds were...
Read moreWe travel a lot as a family for my son’s sports and this was one of the worst stays we had. We arrived friday night, tired from work and travel (we travelled 3hours from OKC), then we got stuck inside their elevator for 20mins!! The elevator got warmer quickly. We had 2 kids, 1 diabetic senior plus me and my husband so total of 5 inside the elevator with our luggages.. It was not handled well by the staff and my husband has to call the local fire dept to help us. As soon as the firemen arrived around 5mins after the call, the staff was able to get us out before the firemen got to the elevator with using just a metal tool. We were there for like 20mins!! The elevator was still broken…We were supposed to be on the 3rd floor and we have a wagon and suitcases with us. I think the staff was expecting us to just use the stairs with all the luggages we have after what happened?? My husband asked if we can have the ground floor instead so we dont have to take the elevator. She immediately said, she didn’t think they have available rooms at the first floor. So we are like what?? At that point, I was thinking to move to another hotel..She ran to the front and made us wait for a while and came back that she can move us to the ground floor. It’s been a while and my kids are still traumatized riding the elevator after what happened to us and will remind me what happened there. We still travel and after that incident, my kids still remember that elevator issue and will not ride the elevator if even the button lights seem to not work.. Nobody reached out to us from the hotel until now regarding the issue and no apology was sent!! I guess this review is needed to let the admin know about...
