We had the most horrific experience with the office manager Mike after he refuse to honor the online booking we made on my husband’s birthday because of some online form we did not click on to use gift card voucher we just purchased. He wants us to give him more money and will not receive the store credit that was sold to us a week ago because we didn’t fill out a form online in advance. When we asked for refund he said he can’t refund gift vouchers. I told him this type of behavior is fraudulent and I will report him to my credit card company. He stands there and debated for over 15 min then finally processed refund. We will never come here again being treated subhuman. After processing refund I had ask for a paper refund. This doesn’t even look like a refund receipt to me. Not sure if it’s real and he only refunded half of the money we paid. Don’t ever buy gift vouchers and watch for scams.

So glad we find this gem while driving through Fort Worth! Only complaint... no whiteboard or scratch paper (so maybe bring your own). We completed Fair Game and Wild West which have a nearly 50% completion rate, but that doesn't mean they aren't fun and have enough of a puzzle challenge to them to make it worth a stop for more experience puzzlers. There was one equipment glitch, but the staff paused the time and was quick to fix the issue. The hint system used a pager and walkie-talkie radio request with a monitor to display the help (and time). Our game master, Denys (pronounced like Denise), was attentive as we progressed and was so cheerful and excited that she felt like a 6th member of the team. One word of warning, the rooms both had several anagrams, so brush up on your newspaper Jumbles!

Welp we finally finished every room they have here, and let me tell you- BEST escape rooms I’ve ever been to. Every single room is extremely well thought out, and very tricky. If you have not been here, I would HIGHLY recommend trying it out. The game masters are really in character for the games, and the puzzles really get your gears turning. The Time Machine room is their level 10/10 and not many people escape but we were able to get through it with minutes to spare! Time Machine and fair game are by far my favorite. We will be headed to the next red door escape locations to finish those as well!

Extremely disappointed. We went for my birthday first week of December. One of the rooms had been converted to a Christmas theme recently. It wasn’t set up well and every thing was a little wrong, but we were able to still get through most of the room. Anytime we asked for a hint, they just gave us hints for things we already solved, so they were completely useless, literally not a single hint was helpful. We got stuck on the last task and finally one of the employees came in to “solve” it for us. He had the key, tried to do it and it didn’t even work for him. We were supposed to match nutcrackers on a random shelf to nutcrackers on a tree, and move a string to the nutcracker that would then cause a frame to move over numbers to get a code to a lock. The nutcrackers that we’re supposed to use to solve the puzzle were on a super tall shelf with almost no light, so you can hardly see them. Then, the only clue was to match them to the nutcrackers on the tree. They looked nothing a like. When the employee came him he let us know we need to match the jacket colors (yes, jacket, that’s mostly covered by beards, and whatever the nutcracker is holding)….. that you can hardly see….. we said okay you do it, and he tried and it still didn’t line up. and they yelled at us every time we brought a phone with a flash light out to see the stupid nutcrackers. When I asked the employee (who couldn’t even make it work with the answer) how many people actually finished the puzzle he said “uuhhh……everyone?” Dude….. You couldn’t even do it…. Very disappointing and completely unprofessional response from staff who also clearly could see that they made...

Hubs and I went to the Red Door on a bit of a whim. We only planned on doing one room but ended up doing 4! We had a phenomenal time and enjoyed the difficulty even when the answer was over our heads. We managed to get through most of the puzzles without any help and there were a few times when we were completely stumped but the hints that we had available for use came in clutch!

There were a couple of issues with puzzles in the Wild West room... one of the boxes unlocked and we didn't even know because either there wasn't enough noise to let us know that it had unlocked or we were loud or something like that. It looked like it was still shut so we assumed we'd gotten the answer wrong and now have zero clue what the actual answer was. The other issue in the Wild West room had to do with the timing of triggers in the last room. The answer was not intuitive at all and I don't know if that is by design but we had to use a hint for that one and our GM had to spell out the steps for us to make it work.

The directions provided for Fair Game include "don't throw" even though that's actually necessary for one of the puzzles in that particular game. May need to consider rewording the disclaimers?

Everyone that worked at the Red Door that we met were friendly, helpful, fun and just wonderfully helpful and good natured!

Overall, it was a phenomenal experience! We're going to try to make a couple of friends so we can do the Time Machine room as well as visiting the other Red Door locations on our next trip to Dallas!!! I'm excited to see what fresh shenanigans...

We did the Wild West. A significant amount of time was wasted on two flawed puzzles: One where you are to arrange horse shoes in a direction according to a clue (trying not to give it away), a horse would be pointed in the direction of the rounded part of the shoe right? Well that doesn't work. What we found out with a hint is that the open end of the shoes point to the directions on said clue... If you do the game you will see that without this flawed knowledge, the puzzle is not logically solvable . The second was a malfunction. Wheels have to be spun to a certain position and it opens a box. While in the proper position, it did not work twice making us second guess our logic. A clue confirmed we were right, and being an electronics guy, I saw the magnets that had to be aligned which were however do to poor maintenance the wheels were loose allowing there to be too much distance to make contact. All this would be understandable but our game master just shrugged it off and seemed to want to just scoot us out instead of addressing our concerns. Escape rooms are our thing and we do them in every city we go to. Some are better than others and yes sometimes things dont work right, however the few times this has happened the game master investigated, verified and extra time was given for the lost time. I am not one to give one star because of minor inconveniences which is why I gave 3. The place was clean, the puzzles were challenging and entertaining, but the issues above left me a little sour. Will try another place next time we are...
