Catamaran Park — Attraction in Foster City

They redid it a few months ago and I was pretty disappointed with the results. It is designed for kids ages 5-12 and there is not much for little ones other than one baby swing. There are some music toys but I have have to lift up my 3 year old to reach them. I'm not sure what they were thinking since every time I take my kids to the park the vast majority of kids there are under 3. My son loves it anyway but why not include something for toddlers? My one year old can't do anything there. At least the park is enclosed now so you don't have to worry about kids toddling into the water. Also, the gate opens directly into the basketball court. Only a low fence divides the playground from the court and balls are constantly bouncing in and sometimes literally hitting small children. In addition, the gate is already partly broken and hard to close. If they were going to redo the playground I don't know why they didn't put more thought into it. Beautiful park alongside the lagoon in Foster City. The playground just got an update with all new equipment and it is fenced in. There is a basketball court immediately next to the playground and tennis courts immediately next to the basketball court. A large soccer field takes up the majority of the park. There are bathrooms here, which is a plus. My only complaints? There is no separate equipment for the under 5 set, and the basketball court and playground seem not to have been executed properly as the edge of the bb court touches a fenced edge of he playground. Beautiful area and a great open park with something for everyone. This park has a everything, a full swing set and seesaw for kids, tennis courts, a basketball court, a large open field for soccer and a running track around it. The space feels wide and open, so even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel crowded

There’s also a walking path that runs next to the bridge, making it a nice spot to walk. It’s a clean, well-maintained park.
