Wooooow woooooow woooooow just walked out of this library. I called in and spoke to someone and I asked "Hey I need to take a test can I use the computer? If I don't have a Libra card or no ID how can I use the computer for my training /test) I was told by this person sounded like a woman. Just go up to the front desk they will help you up there ask and they will help you. Now mind you I approached and asked hey can I please get an extension just about 20 minutes left. Mind you this is a mandated reporter (California training I was almost done) the woman with glasses said "No." So I'm like I just need a few minutes to finish. She said "Are you a member or using a guest pass?" I said I'm on a guest pass . Yes sorry we can't extend your time. I also told her I called in before coming here to get on the computer and the person on the phone said yes just ask the front desk they will help . She said no sorry. I said but I called the main number for the library she answered on the phone what I'm asking you. The librarian said well they gave you the wrong info. So now I log off to leave. I approached the front desk asking for her name. I was dialing the phone number to reach the San Mateo county library line. I asked for her name to see if she was lying or not. To confirm the information. I felt she was biased only because her co-worker looked at her like she was lying. I said "what's your name?" She looked at me guilty for what?" I said I'm calling the mainline of the library I need your name to ask them if it's true what she's saying. She shook her head no, I turned to her co-worker and asked what her name was please? The co-worker shook her head no. So people please beware folks in this library is not cool at all. I suggest going to any library besides this one. Favoritism. I saw another person get it extended as soon I approached the librarian she said no. Anyone reading this from the higher up check your staff. She Low key picked and choose who she will extend then refused to give her name. Don't go here Foster City Library sucks.

Foster City library is a smaller library, and therefore has a smaller selection. They might not always have what you’re looking for. There is still a lot to do and find here. They have a kids’ section, a teen section, a room to purchase books, printing machines, and a corner for donating or picking up free plants, among other things. There is adequate space to sit or study for the size of the library, and it’s mostly quiet. Small events and gatherings are held here sometimes. There is a big catalogue for books in different languages, which is appreciated. Overall, an average library. It is not my favorite in San Mateo County, but I think libraries in general are incredibly valuable now more than ever. 4/5.

a bit to claustrophobic compared to other nearby libraries, and I don't think they have study rooms but damn they are giving away free earbuds?

The library its is nice, the computers are upgraded to meet the modern standards of technology and the books are of current additions. The staff is helpful and knowledgable on their inventory. There are however a few issues, the library patrons themselves are loud and the children are rambunctious. When asked of the staff to tell the patrons to calm down or asked to leave for being disruptive, they do nothing. Another issue is that the library staff kicks people out of the library sometimes 20 minutes prior to closing. They even turn the wifi off 15 minutes to prior to close. I even saw an Asian man yell at an elderly because it was taking her a while to pack up her stuff and put in her trolling back pack, saying "Lady we are closing soon". They need a friendly staff that have the desire to help others and want to...
