Falafel Tazah Foster City — Restaurant in Foster City

With a diverse menu I was torn at what to get. I was a bit hungry so I went with the lamb/beef Shwarma plate. The meat was moist but had some crunch which I loved. The yellow rice had great flavor and did not go unnoticed. The hummus and pickled veggies were a nice addition to the mix, had great flavor but were not super overpowering. The meat was still the center piece of the dish as it should be. Lastly the pita bread, good size, texture and still moist. This was a perfect vessel to create my own wrap. In addition, they have one of the best selection of sauces I have seen at a Mediterranean joint. The orange sauce was 10/10, I was tempted to take some home after I was done with my meal. They also have a good selection of drinks to go with the meal.

I called and ordered a chicken shawarma plate for the first time at 4pm. By accident I ordered for the wrong location. I got a disturbing call from this location at 6:30pm saying “I should have called, it’s not nice” and the person hung up. It was an honest mistake and a first time order, only did I realize it was for the wrong location when I went to the other location at 4:45pm. I had a screaming 3 year old child in the back and I apologized but the individual hung up without listening. I’ve heard great things about this place but after this experience as I mentioned being the first time, I would not recommend it as they are not nice or understanding if you make an honest mistake. Definitely not...

When it comes to Mediterranean food, Falafel Tazah truly stands out. I've been a loyal customer at all of their locations for over ten years, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. Their chicken and veggie kabobs are my go-to favorites, and their falafels, hands down the best I've ever had. Their food certainly lives up to the name with that unmistakable fresh taste every single time.

The restaurant is always spotless and impeccably maintained, which adds to the whole experience. The owner is genuinely one of the friendliest people you'll meet and goes out of his way to make sure every customer leaves happy.
