A really great community theater that offers a very eclectic mix of shows, as well as great opportunities to get into the acting or backstage scene if you wish. I've been in five productions so far, directed one, and attended more than I can count. I thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the shows and getting to meet so many wonderful people, as well as contributing to the arts community. And all the shows I've seen have been really quite good! For such an affordable price, you get a great deal! (FYI: If you agree to usher a show, you get to see it for free.)
The theater itself is very intimate and there's not a bad seat in the house (it seats around 120). It can be a little hot in the summer if they decide to turn the A/C off (it's loud and can drown out the actors sometimes) so dress in layers. Same goes for it being cold in the winter. There is plenty of parking available in front and behind the shopping center where the theater is housed, but if you can't find any, you can always park on the street in the neighborhood directly behind the shopping center. While it is not metro accessible, there are a few busses that drop off directly by the theater. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink before or after the show, across the street is Four Corners Pub. Definitely worth checking out.

Read moreGreat little theater with incredible acting talent. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming of all people/ages/races/identities/etc. The theater is underground, so you may want to call ahead if you have mobility issues.
A few things to consider when planning your night: The place isn't metro-accessible, but there is a bus stop nearby. Parking is free behind the shopping center; use the covered walkway next to the CVS. The snack bar is limited and doesn't serve alcohol. There are only a few restaurants in walking distance, even fewer have a bar. (My date and I tried Red Maple before the last play we went to and were...
Read moreNice spot for smaller scale, local theater acts. I saw both the Christmas Carol and Arabian Nights here and enjoyed both. Even though it has the community theater vibe both plays had talented actors/singer/musicians on the professional level. The theater itself has great seating and even sells cheap drinks and snacks during intermission. It is a little tricky to find; located between the CVS and Bank of America on the Coleville Rd side of the strip mall. Recommend parking behind the building as the small lot out front is...
