Went here on a whim after a blogger posted about their burgers. I love a good bar so I went right inside and sat at the bar. I asked the bartender if there were any drink specials and she told me no..but pointed me to a wall posting of local beers. I told her that I was looking for a cocktail and started to describe the kind I like... (Strong but not sweet) she quickly interrupted me and told me I need to tell her the name of the drink and she would make it and then she walked away.....and never came back to service me. So while I was waiting for her to return I went online and noticed that there was a drink menu. She could have simply offered up the drink menu as most bartenders do when a customer isn't really sure what they want. Real experienced bartenders will actually will even make recommendations based on what you describe...but she simply walked away. Anyways, I was hungry and decided to move outside since it was clear that she wasn't going to give me any proper service. The young lady who serviced me outside was very pleasant...gave me a full drink menu, took my order and the food came out quickly. The ambience outside was a bit quieter but wasn't really what I came for..While I appreciated the waitresses kindness and the food was pretty good (loved the fries), the bartender left a bad taste in my mouth and could work on being nicer and more hospitable to all customers. Unfortunately, I...
Read moreJust got back from an impromptu lunch at 4 Corners. The first time I have stepped foot in the joint since 2008, when Freddie owned it. Not to speak poorly of Freddie or the prior version of the place, but it was always your prototypical townie "dive" that had subpar good but ice cold beers. Fast forward to today, and while the outside, interior, and "townie" feel is still there, I was blown away by the quality of the food. I had the Buffalo (Nashville) chicken sandwich, and it was far and away the best I have EVER had. I simply didn't expect that and it was a nice surprise. I've never seen a Buffalo Chicken sandwich where they DOUBLE UP the chicken breasts, at least not without an extra charge. The buffalo sauce was tasty and perfectly accentuated with a few drops of Texas Pete. The sandwich came with handmade fries, which in and of itself is impressive. How many pubs have you been to that simply throw a bag of Utz on your plate? That, the sandwich, and the still-ICY COLD beverages were a welcome break during the workday. It's clear from the prior reviews, and my experience today, that 4 Corners has stepped its game up considerably over the years. 4-corners is an institution in this area...
Read moreOh, wow. Nightmare! I volunteer for a nonprofit organization which is neighbor to the Corner Pub. I contacted Randy and Amy, managers of the Pub several times and they agreed to contribute pizzas and appetizers to a party I wanted to host at the Pub with a group of about 40 people. Long story short, after half a dozen confirmations that they would "take good care of us," Randy refused to follow through. He was rude to my friends, he called me a b*&^%, he threw money at a guest, refused to separate checks, and told me he was too busy to accomodate us. He called my group a "bunch of losers" and when I showed him the ad I put in my brochure in exchange for his "donation," he replied, sarcastically, "thanks!" and walked away. He could not have been ruder, nastier or more horrible. He went back on his word completely. On his end it was bad business sense -- he lost out on bar tabs for 40 people. In terms of his customer service, no one at my organization will ever patronize his place again. Lost business. And I strongly recommend against Randy or the Corner Pub.....horrible, nasty...
