Don't piss in my face and tell me it's raining
As I drive down 495 towards Virginia, I am annoyed by the bait and switch I just received
I ordered a Beef Patty, a Beef pastelito and a cola champagne.
On the menu behind the cashier and, whom I presume is either the owner or the manager, it clearly says pastelitos three dollars. Bottled soda $2.75 and no price for beef patties.
While I was expecting to pay whatever the menu says things cost, I was not expected to be charged a custom amount for my soda of $3.75. Four dollars for my paselito and five dollars for my beef Patty.
Annoyed by the up charge, I'll ask why does your menu have a different price at what you're charging me and no answer was given to me, nonetheless, I already made the trip to make the patronage, and I grudgingly paid.
I really don't feel good about this experience, and to be honest, only on principle, I will not come back and specifically on principle I am writing this negative review. If your price says it is X amount of dollars that's what you should charge me and your customers. If I ask you, why are you charging me more? You should give an explanation and not toss it off to the side. The icing on the cake for me was the manager or owner asking me if I want to cocoa bread with my beef patty. After he overcharged me two dollars and didn't give me an explanation why
Keep the two little dollars that you guys overcharge me A negative review is priceless.
With so many other options in that FourCorners corridor, it is a shame that I was beat and switched
Are experiences like mine today are the types of experiences that make first time customers not want to come back
Beef patties were very good but definitely not worth the five dollars. A cola champagne for $3.75? I'll absolutely pass next time. Beef pastelito (Dominican style) was mid at best. Beef was dry, a tad bit sour and needed sauce
Only one star. The beef patty saved the day. Nice and hot and...
Read moreOn 06/14 around 6:30PM I stoped on my way to work to get something to eat. I work night shift so I love to eat early before the start of my shift. I purchased jerk wings and much to my surprise they were old, burnt, hard as a rock and clearly old. I called to express my displeasure with what I paid for. The ill mannered, man did not even allow me to speak. His response to me was that I had an attitude, and my problem could not be the food. I was very quiet. I didn’t say anything. I wanted to give them a chance to know that this was my experience before I posted a less than desirable review. It’s clear and it’s sad that often times Caribbean people are the worst to deal with in business, they have no decorum whatsoever. He did not even allow me to finish speaking before he began to attack my disposition. I did not say anything other than ordered my food. I paid and I waited for my food. My disposition is nearly the fact that I just woke up. I’m tired. I have to work for another 12 hours, so of course I’m not gonna be a bubbly go lucky I just wanted a decent meal to eat to prepare meat for my next 12 hours. I initially asked to speak with the manager, and he said that he’s the manager, which I hardly believe is if this person was raised by a bunch of hogs he did not even give me an opportunity to finish speaking and then he wanna talk about attitude. it’s clear that the food is stale, and he did not want to face the embarrassment and the shame of selling someone stale old food. He could not deal with that so he tried to cow me down with his big mouth. I swear I was talking to a female and not a man. He did not want to hear the truth about the nasty stale old food that he sold me. (I POSTED THE PICTURES of the wings I received. I will never step foot in that establishment again and every opportunity that is presented for to share my experiences I will boldly do so. You should be ashamed of...
Read moreThe first thing that was alarming to me was the lack of smell. Usually, when you visit a carribbean, island, bbq, or similar spot, you can smell it blocks away. I smelled absolutely nothing... not even when I was directly on the premises. However, I wanted to give them a chance anyway. I wanted some bomb jerk. Lol. The cashier was very friendly and kind. She was sniffing a lot as if she was sick, but I was praying she just had allergies. I thought it was just me, but my husband mentioned it as well. The food was rather costly for the quality. Their curry gravy saved the day. I was looking for some hot, well seasoned and full of flavor jerk chicken and jerk sauce. Both were pretty bland to me, and the chicken tasted like it was a day old and reheated. While picking up my order, I decided to order two sides of curry chicken gravy. Now that was really good! I placed it over my rice and peas and some of the chicken. It helped a ton. I almost forgot, the cabbage was 👎👎. It tasted like it was cooked right out of the bag without rinsing it or anything. 🤮 The plantain were ripe, but could've been cooked just a little longer. My order was skipped by accident, so we waited longer than we should've and they forgot to give us our drink, but we turned around right after leaving out to get it. Last, I ordered 2 beef patties while waiting. The person that placed them in the bag knew they were hard and burnt but served them to us anyway with hopes to get them sold. Had I not been waiting for the rest of my order, I would've taken off and would've had to take the loss. Overall, the customer service was excellent, but the food wasn't great. Unfortunately, I will not...
