The fast turnaround time was absolutely amazing, and I appreciated not having to wait weeks or worry about where my diamond was being sent. Knowing that all their work is done on-site gave me so much peace of mind.

Any day that I can spend some time in Kripps Jewelers with Vin & Keerthi is a great day! I love this family-owned, local business, and we should support our local shops, because they are integral to our Silver Spring community. I have bought so many gorgeous pieces from Vin & Keerthi that I have lost count. I have earrings, necklaces, & more rings than fingers. My favorite pieces have to be some Art Deco rings I bought for myself and my daughter. Although I do adore vintage jewelry, I have also bought more contemporary pieces & I am glad I did. Everything works well together. Vin & Keerthi are so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. They are always very attentive to customers, even if they look at many things, and buy nothing. Everyone receives the same amount of respect. Vin & Keerthi are very decent people, who work hard, provide excellent service & have a wonderful variety of jewelry. I would encourage anyone in the market for jewelry to visit Kripps. Today I was in the store, and I started to look at all the gorgeous engagement rings, and it made me wish I were a bride-to-be. I hadn’t realized it was two sizes too small. I thought Vin’s jeweler could just add some gold to the shank & replace the glass stone. Well, once Vin explained how much work would be required to do as I asked, he took the ring & gave me store credit for a future piece. It was a very decent, kind, remarkable thing to do for me. Predatory Offers and Deceptive Practices - BEWARE

I was referred to Kripps Jewelers to sell two diamond wedding bands. My initial phone conversation with Sam, who handles these appraisals, was professional. He explained their process was based on the weight of the gold and the stones, and I went into the store with realistic expectations, fully understanding I would receive a fraction of the retail value.

After I brought the rings in, they were taken to the back for Sam to assess. He returned with a combined offer so egregiously low it felt fraudulent. It was clear from the outset that this was neither a serious nor a fair valuation.

When I challenged the offer, Sam attempted to justify his price by showing me a ring from his case that he claimed was "exactly the same" as mine, despite it looking nothing like my band. The real proof of his dishonesty came when he fumbled through his reasoning, incorrectly stating the carat weight of my ring. This proved he never performed the proper, detailed assessment he claimed was their standard process.

It's obvious that Sam's offer wasn't based on the actual value of my jewelry. It was a predatory attempt to prey on a seller he perceived as desperate, ignorant, or both.
