I loved this place until my last visit a week ago. I arrived with only four other customers in the place, which seemed like a good omen. Not so. First, the techs were so busy chatting among themselves in loud voices that it was distracting (I’ve never minded the casual chitchat in lower voices before). I felt ignored, as if I was interrupting. Pedicurist got exasperated when I realized polish she was applying had glitter in it. Yes, my mistake, but I caught it right away. Shouldn’t have been a big deal. She acted all huffy, sighed out loudly “ai-yi-yi,” so I told her okay, please go ahead, it’s fine, just to avoid conflict. I guess she realized she’d overreacted and got up and exchanged polish. What she brought back wasn’t the color I wanted but I felt so uncomfortable I said fine, it’s close enough. Woman in charge was very unpleasant and rude. She overheard me mention that the last time I’d come in my manicurist had kindly offered to let me sit in the massage chair while she worked on my fingernails because I never get polish—just trim and buff. It’s quick. I wondered if that was possible again. It was so much more comfortable than sitting in those hardbacked chairs. There were only four people in the salon and a lot of empty massage chairs. Woman in charge angrily told me they couldn’t do that because they needed the chairs for other customers. Hmmmm? Pedicurist also shook her head vehemently. I didn’t argue, just let it go and said I now passed on the manicure. Pedicure polish got smeared and there was polish on the skin of my toes but I didn’t want to say anything because of the rude treatment. It was an unpleasant visit—not relaxing at all. I also felt pedicurist was pushy about wanting me to get more services. They ask you if you want this or that without mentioning price. I’m wary so said no thank you. Even with the bad service I tipped the woman my usual 20 percent but I couldn’t wait to get out of there. The vibe was so lousy. After 6 years as a regular customer at Fantasy Nails, I won’t be returning. Am looking...
Read moreInitially I was not going to write a review but this business establishment has forced my hand. In December of 2021 I was running a few errands before my trip to Mexico and a Pedicure was on my to do list. As I walked through the door of their business at 7:05 P.M. I asked the lady at the desk if they would be able to provide a Pedi service and she replied no. Mind you there was absolutely no customers and there were 3 techs available, one who was just sitting on their phone. I replied okay and said mentally to myself I would never go back. Then this past Sunday my 8 year old daughter said she wanted her nails done reluctantly I went because of the convenience due to it being so close to my Mother’s home. After the tech was finished she asked if I wanted to pay, she swiped my card in a handheld device they use to process payments. It seems as thought the tech wasn’t familiar with how to use the device so she went to the tech who sits in the very front. She has the first booth (not sure if she holds some type of management position). When the tech who assisted my daughter passed the device to the other tech I walked up just to see what was happening, as a consumer whose information was just swiped and also I have been going to this Nail Salon since I was in my teen years (I am now 30) I didn’t see what the issue was. The tech who sits at the first booth looks up at me and says “Why are you looking at it? You don’t have to look”. I was taken aback, very disgusting and rude. I will never EVER...
Read moreSTAY AWAY.I really tried to like them. I got acrylic nails with regular polish, full set. Just because I chose "ballerina" shape, it was an extra $10. Why? It's not that hard to do. My friend and I went here on a whim. I don't know if people who rate them well is because they have no prior experience or knowledge on how nails should be done, if they did, I doubt they would keep coming here. My nails are crooked!!! One side of my nail is sharper than the other. There is a liquid to powder ratio for acrylic that is needed to make a bead to then shape the nail, the lady that did my nails had the runniest compound and it was dripping all over the place. My nails although being acrylic, feel so thin! The acrylic even dripped on my skin and it started itching immediately. She didn't even clean it until I said something. She made me bleed twice. Those files were dirty too. They didn't even looked sanitized! Your nail beds or nail shouldn't be filed with the electric file!!! Ever!!! That's why you experience that soreness the next day. And this lady did exactly that!!! Oh my god. That damages the nail bed and makes it so when you take them off the nails are brittle. The nail polish has bubbles and they are very streaky. Bad. Bad. Bad.
Edit: I've taken off my nails and my nail beds were heavily shaved. It's such a shame these people are even providing services still. This shouldn't happen with correct nail preparation. I can't even touch hot or cold things they...
