Update 4/19: The theater gets changed to 5 stars for me (previously 2.5 stars)..... Ok turns out my brother did want to go back to give it another try. This time we went during the daytime and did a double feature. Whoa what a difference!!!! This time, the menu items were actually available!!! And I admit they tasted good. Everything was served while still hot, the server was nice. I do still stand by my stance that this theater should do mobile ordering though. The theater auditoriums we were in (2 and 5) were clean, had the fork&screen set up of tables for each seat etc. It was so nice!! Even the bathrooms were somewhat useable, a couple stalls had unflushed toilets. But the sinks were clean somewhat and functional. So minus the bathroom stuff, apparently the key to a good experience here is to go during the daytime weekday, and make sure you are in the fork&screen auditoriums, if you care to have the tables. And they have the recliner seats in those auditoriums.
3/20: I'd say 2.5 stars. I went to an early screening and this was my first time at this theater so I travelled far to get here. It was my first dine-in in over 7 years, I went to one in another state before. So in comparison, this one was kinda ehhh. The one I went to before, they have the big recliners, small table for each seat, call buttons for servers, minor lighting so you can see lol, the menu items are actually available!
At this Framingham theater, whether due to covid or supply issues, it still doesn't come close! For some reason, they have it so you have to order your menu items at the concessions and then go to your seat, and your food comes eventually. They do not allow mobile ordering. This is such a bad process!! I barely made it to my seat maybe a minute before the movie started because of the very long line and complicated concessions... They should do mobile ordering!!!!!
Also, they do not accept cash right now because of the national coin shortage?! And even though they had chicken tenders listed as available in the screen menu, when I finallllly got to the concession counter, the guy said they weren't available anymore. Oy. I had to get boneless wings and churros. The churros were actually decently good. My brother said the boneless wings were such a dinky portion size and was not happy it was so expensive. Sorry lol.
The seats do recline in that theater (12). But they are kinda narrow seats, personally I like the wide puffy types lol. Oh well. My body started hurting after about an hour into the movie. Reclining seats are still better than the regular stationary seats at least. The servers bringing the food is kind of distracting too and obstructs the view. And yes you are eating in the dark lol. I had to tilt the containers toward the screen to see which container belonged to me and my brother lol. There should be some minor light source(s) for movie goers. Dine-in's are supposed to be special and unique compared to reg movie theater concessions. Seems like this theater just makes it more complicated than necessary. Too bad it's the only AMC dine-in in my state. I know it was announced everywhere that these shortages and unavailabilities were potentially going to be issues but still wow. I know my brother does not want to...
Read moreI’ve been going to this theater since 2003 and I also am not the type of person to make reviews but I feel I have to now. Last week i got popcorn while seeing Maxxxine and felt extremely nauseous when i got home for a whole day, thought it was maybe a one time thing. I got the popcorn again last night while seeing Longlegs, and I’ve had food poisoning since I got home. Vomting, the whole 9 yards. I don’t know if the popcorn maker needs to be deep cleaned, or if the butter I used out of the dispenser is maybe expired or contaminated. On top of this, whenever I come here and order ahead way before, the food is never ready and they always forget my order, making me have to run out of the movie I’m seeing to quickly request food I pre ordered hours prior. This can be on a slow day too. I know it’s a movie theater which since the end of time has had teenagers as the employees, but I don’t think enough adults or responsible teens are working here bc the place should not be this dirty and mismanaged. I shouldn’t be up puking all night from contaminated popcorn. Now that I’m combing through reviews, I’ve found out through other reviews that they have a MAJOR mice problem, which could also be a cause of food poisoning if they run around the theater rooms and the rooms aren’t thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in between each movie, or they could be getting into food inventory that we’re all eating. There’s mice at every establishment that has a dumpster out back, I get that, I’ve worked in restaurants, but you should not be having mice complaints left and right for a year to the point it’s a keyword in these reviews. This is a major health code violation and safety hazard and a lawsuit waiting to happen. Please no one eat the popcorn for now and especially don’t put that butter on it. The reason I return to this theater is bc its location is very convenient for my friends and I, good parking, very comfy seats, and nostalgia since I’ve gone here since I was little, but actually getting sick is not worth it. I don’t expect perfection, but for the love of God do a deep clean and examine...
Read moreI’ve been coming to AMC Framingham for the past 15 years with my kids and their friends. Living in Natick, it was convenient, and I never had issues—until recently. This theater has become filthy, neglected, and honestly, a health hazard. The last time I was there, I left with three bites on my back. I don’t know if it was bed bugs or ticks, but something bit me—and that’s unacceptable.
Despite the condition of the theater, I continued going because it was nearby. But now, on top of the filth, they’ve decided to enforce “rules” they claim have always existed—but I’ve never experienced them in all these years.
We were excited for a fun family night: my teenager (15) was going to watch a Rated R movie, and I was going to watch Minecraft with my toddler and younger child. I had already purchased tickets for everyone. Then I was told I couldn’t let my teen see the Rated R movie unless I sat in the theater with them. Mind you, I was present at the theater—I just wasn’t watching that specific movie. They refused to let my 15-year-old and their friend in. And obviously, I couldn’t bring my 4-year-old into an R-rated movie just to babysit my teen, so our entire night was ruined.
The staff made the experience even worse. The manager (Asian man) was rude and dismissive. The tall white guy lecturing us about “his establishment” and “his rules” like he owns the place—you’re a cashier, calm down. And the very short Spanish guy—laughing like the whole thing was funny—was completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
Here’s a suggestion before you start enforcing rules you’ve ignored for over a decade: CLEAN your theater. INVEST in an exterminator. And TRAIN your staff in basic customer service. You’ve officially lost a loyal customer—and I’m not...
