We had a pretty terrible experience here. No issues checking in or parking, but the room had a urine smell that hit me the second I walked in. I tried to ignore it and used the bathroom which then left the toilet running on and off the entire stay. The smell kept getting worse so I started looking around and found some brown/red splatters on the wall in several places that dripped down then dried. I kept looking for the smell and then saw lots of what looked like long cat fur but could have been a dog maybe? It looked like the main areas had been vacuumed but the hair was left around the bases of the furniture and all over the box spring. I’m very allergic to cats and the urine smell was awful. I went to the front desk to ask about possibly switching rooms as we had two nights booked, and they said they couldn’t move us until the second night, and kept denying what I was saying, saying that no pets have ever been in there. She repeated over and over that the smell of urine was from the Fabuloso used to clean the room. I told her I clean with Fabuloso myself, and have worked in hotels that use it, and it is definitely a pee smell. Every time, she denied animals being in that room, I told her there was animal fur all over and she would not listen. Just kept saying no animal had ever been in that room, and Fabuloso was used to clean it. While I was in the lobby a man came in saying he had been told the day prior the huge ant problem in his room would be addressed that day while he was out, but no one showed up and all the ants were still there. The lady at the front desk told him she didn’t have any bug spray and all other staff were gone until the following morning. He had to spend another night in that room and no solutions or anything were given. I returned to our room and my credit card company was able to help me get a different hotel for the second night but we were stuck for that first one. We spent most of the night in the car to avoid the smell. The bed was so incredibly hard with springs popping underneath you. The pillows were hard and flat. There were two spiders in the bathroom and the toilet continued to run on and off all night. The sink once turned, on never drained the whole time there. The whole bathroom was gross and the baseboard was held on to the wall with packing tape. There were gross oily marks on the headboard and holes in the curtains.

So far so good. I'm here for a couple more nights. TINY bathroom. This suggests the hotel was built in the 60s when you were expected to ".Get in, Go, GET OUT." And waste no time in the shower, either, except what was necessary to scrub the stink off. Otherwise, a very nice, recently remodeled property, with durable (vinyl?) Flooring which opposed.to carpet, keeps.the dirt, disease, and In the case of a chain marketing itself as pet-friendly, and a slight cut above Motel.6, it keeps the *flea* population under control. I also find it to be VERY quiet, with thick walls. As you can see.from the parking.lot, there is adequate free parking,so occupancy is relatively high. The ac/heating unit fan is also quiet. I was able to do a faceplant at the end of a 3000 mile road trip, for a solid 12 hours sleep, without interruption. That's what I want in a motel. It's external access to the rooms, which I honestly prefer for hauling my junk in and out of my car to the room, but obviously this is less safe than i terior access to the roo.s. however, this area seems fine - no meth-heads hanging around, no obvious drug-dealing going on under stairwells and in laundry rooms - it's mainly just people with pets that I've observed. (PTSD has its upside ..). And I'm a single guy and my car looks like a trashy "heap" as we called.them in my day. Appearances.are.everything., after all hahaha. It shouldnt matter that guys are.safe.to travel alone and women, not so much. But it does.1 Finally, I suggest joining the Redi Rewards program and using the app to get a fair price with the ability to change things, unlike 3rd party services which almost always, IME commit you to the dates you signed up for, no matter what. This is very reasonably priced.for.this part of the country.

This hotel is in need of some major TLC. The front desk area is clean and the staff is very polite and professional. However, the wallpaper has started to peel off and was scotch taped back together and we'll that did not hold. Suggestion: use glue or just rip it off and paint. Some landscaping has been done in front and back of the building, however must the sprinklers be turned on during reg hours? Do you how impossible it is to not get wet going to your room? Suggestion: turn it on by section would be easier to get to our rooms without getting all wet in October. The room (254) was clean and the bed sheets looked fresh. However this mattress is hard as rock on one side and caved in on the other. Springs are worn. This is a typical cheap hotel mattress that is past its life. The lamp on the desk had one burnt bulb, how hard is it to check those when cleaning? The toilet was clean. However the bathtub needs a great scrub down. The caulking around the bathtub has spots of mold. Do you know that mold is dangerous? Why did the cleaning crew not notify maintenance to replace this chaulk? It takes about 15 min, requires a chaulking removal tool and some new chaulk. At the back of the hotel under the flight of stairs to go to the second floor are the garbage bins. Move them to a different location they stank this morning or instead of this shit plastic bins you use metal ones with covers. We had some band aids and debris on Sat in the stairs. The police was onsite for a few hours on Saturday night and Sun we noticed the door was boarded up. Would I recommend this chain? Not really. A good management team would see that all establishment are up to code and represent the brand. Needs a paint job and new mattresses. It has potential if it can come out of the 70's.

I don't even know where to start ..the place is "fine" for the price. It is helpful when you have pets as they allow them and easy in/out for dogs. It's the staff that were so shocking. I ordered the stay online, selected pets, got there and conversed with the lady at the counter about my dogs -- she asked me to bring them to desk some time as she loves huskies. Fast forward to receiving a notice on my door that I am not welcome back because I lied that I have pets. What? The manager was never around to find out why she said this. Long story short it looks like I was put under the bus because a staff member must have screwed up my bill or something? ..nothing else makes sense. I explained that I had selected pets and conversed about my dogs with the lady at the front desk and the manager ignored me and basically called me a liar. Not joking. I even asked them to check their indoor cameras to hear the conversation at the front desk when I checked in. Fast forward some months later I checked in for one day with my dogs ..after check in was told I had to leave because I lied about my pets before ..NOT JOKING!!!! ...the treatment was disgusting! Also, that day the power went out, never came back on, it was 90 degrees outside, and I had to work that day with my dogs at the hotel ..came back at noon ..they were so hot and in the dark! ..broke my heart .they said the AC (power) would come back on soon ..it never did ..I came back at 4pm it was scorching hot ..I checked out as too hot to keep them there and they refused a refund stating it wasn't their fault they had no power or water. TRUE STORY. Just to make matters worse ...that "day stay" after they checked me in, they came to the room (that had not been made up yet) and said "I checked you into a room that is being serviced I have to move you ..but also, you aren't allowed here because you lied about your pets last time." NOT KIDDING ..OMG. I had told her I had called in at 4:30 am (it was now 8:30am) that I needed to have all check in done by 8:15 as I have to start at the office at 8:30am ..it was now 8:30 am ..I'm still waiting for the check in process to be completed to the new room and she said "you said you had to be at work at 8:30 am it's now 8:35 how do I know you are not lying?" haha WHAT? ..did she ACTUALLY say that? ..i am a doctor, had to set up for my patient at 8:30 for a 9am start ..who says "how do I know you aren't lying ..what the hell?" ....anyway ..as if things could get any worse ..I come back at noon ..it's super hot in there and dark ..my dogs are scared ..I see that staff member and she says "You have cats in there with your dogs ..someone saw ..we have cameras" haha WHAT???? There are just no words ..I said "No ..there are 2 huskies in there ..go see for yourself ..what are you even talking about?" and then she just says "Oh." ...and never apologized to me. I just can't even speak to the impulsive rude unprofessionalism ...no one talks like this in a place of business ..it's not logical, kind, reasonable ..or even normal. I recommended people here before after i stayed there years ago for a few weeks (way back in 2010) ...they thought the quality was so poor they left to go to a different hotel and I felt bad. Anyway -- go at your own risk and avoid the staff as much as possible. ALSO -- learn all the pet rules before you go in case the staff don't and then blame you for things you have...

For what it is - a motel - it's excellent. The location is very convenient to the Mass Pike, Rt. 95, 9, and 30 (although at times it can take a while to get off the property because it's literally right on Rt.30). Dunkin and a gas station are right next door, several restaurants (and a dispensery LOL) are within a minute's walk, "everything" else is less than 5 minutes away. And at the price, it's the only place I can afford for a longer stay (12 nights).|It's perfect for longer stays, because rooms are only cleaned twice a week, unless you request it more frequently, so you're left alone most of the time.|Ahead of our arrival, I had a couple of questions and they were answered quickly and nicely. |We arrived after midnight, but the clerk at check in was very friendly, took time to explain/answer questions, greeted us with bottles of water.|I love having your car parked right outside your room and having your own entrance, so that's very much a matter of preference. We had requested a room on the first floor for that reason, but you can also stay on the second floor if you have safety concerns.|The room was very simple and on the small side. It had everything we needed but no luxury. I would recommend upgrading your room if you like the convenience of a mini fridge (bigger than in regular hotel rooms). The photos on their website are definitely glamour shots. They don't lie, but they embellish.|You can definitely tell the hotel is older, or was always fequented heavily, the overall feeling in the room was "aged". We didn't care about that, but it was noticable. We did care about cleanliness and had no complaints there.|One thing that is odd at this property, whenever you call maintenance (our shower dripped) they ask you not to be in the room. The technician will not come if you're "home", neither will housekeeping.|The staff at the front desk was always nice, housekeeping staff not so much. Some can't be bothered to say "Good Morning" or look you in the eye.|Since we stayed 12 nights, we could tell the property is very popular, both for one night and for longer, although the low price can attract some guests that made me lock our room with both locks at night.|I would absolutely stay there again and recommend it - but you have to lower your expectations if you're used to staying and 3-5 star properties.|The RedRoof is clean and simple and very convenient, and a great vaslue for the proce - but it's...
