Today is Jan 18, 2025 this happened at 11am today: I ordered a custom cake online a few days ago. Unfortunately, I did not look up the hours of operations for the Natick store before I headed out to pick up my cake. I arrived an hour before they opened. The young woman behind the counter was in the process of doing her opening checklist, when I knocked on the door to get her attention. When she looked at me she quickly shook her head no, as in “we are not open”. I pleaded with her through the glass; please I ordered a cake, and it is already paid for. Again, she shook her head no. I asked again, please can you just quickly give me my cake? She shook her head no a third time, as she pointed to her writst. Then she put up her fingers 1 and 2 as in “we open at 12”. I said, really? She shook her head no, and then I walked away.
An hour later I came back to pick up my cake, and she gave me a snippy greeting. I said I was there to pick up a cake. She called back to a co-worker and this person brought out my cake in less than a minute. I know I was asking for a lot, arriving an hour before they opened, but I am writing this review in hopes this could be a training moment for management.
Even if the answer ended up being no, it would have gone a long way if she actually opened the door said hello and politely explained she was closed and there was nothing she could do for me. Additionally, when I came back, she could have mentioned our exchange, again something like I am sorry I couldn’t help you out earlier…I am under strict policy not to hand out cakes before we open…or something like that. Instead, she was rude every chance she could have been.
From my point of view, since the cake was paid for, and she didn’t even need to log into her POS. I would have thought taking less than 5 minutes to grab a cake would be the right thing to do. She could have said she was making a special exception this one time etc…
Thanks...
Read moreAlright folks, took a little family outing to Ben & Jerry's on Route 9 in Natick, MA. Now, I've been to my fair share of ice cream places, but this one? Whew, it's like they scooped out a piece of the North Pole and plunked it right there in Massachusetts. My mom, she's picky with her flavors, and my two girls? They treat picking an ice cream like they're choosing a college major. So much contemplation!
But those young guys at the counter, saints, I tell ya. We probably looked like a wandering band of indecisive dessert seekers. With the patience of monks, they helped us navigate the vast seas of flavors. Not a hint of annoyance, just genuine smiles and maybe a suppressed chuckle or two at our little ice cream drama.
By the end, with the perfect scoops in hand and my kids’ faces lighting up, I knew we'd found our go-to ice cream spot. Five creamy, joy-filled stars for Ben & Jerry's on Route 9. And if anyone's asking, any day with ice cream is automatically a good day, especially when shared...
Read moreHello! I was just here for free cone day and witnessed the worst costumer service I’ve ever seen. A mother and three young children walked in 5 minutes too late and were denied service. This was not the issue. What was the issue was the random coworker butting into the conversation the gentleman was having with the mother who was being very polite, kind, and understanding about getting denied service. This worker said “we literally opened at 11 you've had all day to get here” in an extremely rude and condescending tone and proceeded to mumble other rude comments under her breath. I will definitely not be coming back to this location especially after seeing the other posts about workers here and their attitude. Being in the service industry I understand the difficulty however blatantly being rude is uncalled for and unprofessional. I hope they can use this as a...
