Family Fare Supermarket — Attraction in Frankfort

Visiting from Texas and the staff did not represent Michigan well at all. First, we called what we believed was this location and asked what time they close and we were told midnight. We arrived around 9:45p and started grabbing some groceries for stay at a local Airbnb. Around 9:50 the lights on the whole store started flickering as if to indicate they were closing and around 9:55 staff started walking down the aisles telling us if we didn’t get up to the front to check out the registers were going to shut off and they wouldn’t be able to check us out. When we told the staff member what we were looking forward to complete our order she was extremely rude. We explain that we had called ahead and they told us we must have spoken to the store in Manistee which was completely possible and an honest mistake. She came across like she might’ve been the manager but she was a complete Karen. The cashier who was the only other employee left, a short haired blonde, had a really bad attitude while checking us out and the prices were absolutely crazy. Cashier with the soul patch has an attitude problem. Everyone else is pretty cool. Also you can tell the head manager is a total Karen. How about you make the grunts get the carts from the parking lot maybe then you can have a better attitude. Also people who make mistakes with wic don't need to be embarrassed by your lack of proficiency and understanding of YOUR point of sale system. The employees at this location are the rudest I have ever met. The cashier yelled at myself and another customer while she was on duty with her checkout light on stating that she has no interest in working and we need to get checked out somewhere else. I’d be better off paying with pennies hand counting them myself then ever using their cashiers. Will never be going back. Prices are also 30% then any other grocery store around....
