An unfortunately bad experience that’s definitely not worth the wait. Expect to leave feeling underwhelmed, hungry, and overcharged. Although possibly filling a gap in the local restaurant offering, they definitely have some improvements to make in order to match the hype.

Anticipating a busy restaurant, we made a reservation a few days ahead of time to make sure we’d be able to get in. But when we arrived we were told that even though there were seats outside, they were being saved for a later party. We were seated in a small and somewhat cramped indoor seats. During our time there a restaurant employee was conducting an interview in the west directly next to us, which made it difficult to have our own conversations.

Our server was incredibly kind and helpful, and encouraged us to try the chips and salsa. These ended up being the best part of the meal! Their salsas were very delicious with well developed flavors, although the chips weren’t all too exciting.

Be warned, the drinks were small! Even taking into consideration any handmade elements, the drinks felt very overpriced for the size and quality. Flavor wise, the margaritas were good and the Takes Two To Mango was delicious! But the mint sangria was very bad… like must-have-missed-an-ingredient bad, which isn’t good for a $10+ drink.

The tacos were incredibly small, and had the bare minimum in terms of flavor and toppings. We have no problem spending $4-5 per taco when the quality is worth it. The Al Pastor taco we received had 3 pieces of white onion(seriously… look at that picture), 3 small pieces of pineapple, a mere dibble of sauce, a single leaf of cilantro, and had less flavor than something you’d get from Taco Bell.

The churros, although good, were small 2 inch-long segments and came without any type of sauce. For $9 I would expect at least they typical...

The food was fine, but the price was OUTRAGEOUS for the tiniest little tacos I’ve ever had. $12 for two two-bite tacos with some underwhelming fillings is criminal. The only beverages available if you aren’t at the bar are jarritos, canned pepsi, or canned sprite for some reason? And they will pre-open your can for you before they bring it which I didn’t like. The water they bring to the table is gross room-temp tap water with no ice. Which is weird because it visibly cane out of the fridge and still wasn’t cold. Our waitress was very nice but spilled twice before even getting to the food. It was a Friday night yet the restaurant was completely empty and had been seemingly trying to close an hour early (we arrived shortly before 8pm, they close at 9). We got there and all the lights were off and the open sign was as well. When we asked staff if they were open they seemed unsure for some reason? Oh the music playlist was very strange as well, it was like euro-club music all night. Not necessarily bad? but definitely weird

Some good: the churro rings were delicious (but seem like they should have come with some kind of caramel or chocolate dip? they came with nothing). I forget what it was called but the shrimp taco (camarones maybe?) was very good. The chorizo was not. Remember the serving size to price is insanity still.

This is not my first time here, I tried it two years ago and had just as bad an experience, but thought it was time to give it another shot. Definitely will not be returning a third time. It feels like a restaurant owned by someone who doesn’t care about it. Perhaps by someone who owns a restaurant next door and just slapped open a sloppy white mexican place for fun? Speculation but that’s...

This is NOT your typical Mexican restaurant. If you are expecting “traditional” Mexican food and flavors you may be disappointed. They have taken a liberal interpretation with some dishes making it more “fusion” than straight up Mexican. For example - 1) Guacamole - They prepare theirs with citrus fruit mixed in. Mine tasted a lot like pineapple guacamole. 2) Rice - I am guessing it has been mixed with lime juice or some other citrus liquid. These are the two things that I instantly noticed and there is probably more. Just an FYI for those seeking straight up Mexican. The service was very good and our server was very personable. My biggest issue was the portion size of the Carnitas. They were VERY SMALL in size. For the price they are charging for (2) carnitas, they need to either make the tortilla shells bigger and include more meat OR keep the mini tortillas but include 4 instead of 2. I wished I would have had my phone on me to take a picture. They truly were incredibly small and very under filled. I was expecting more giving the price. Lastly, the menu is pretty limited. Not a huge issue but again, something you should know about before going in. RECAP - good service, unique / non traditional flavors, VERY SMALL tacos / poor value for what you are paying. There are better restaurants in town, especially in...

Amazing! Love that a place like this is in Frankfort now! Top patio for before or after dinner drinks is the SPOT. South Florida person here and very impressed with the cocktail choices and food quality. We tried every taco, chilaquiles, prickly pear, and the old fashion. All of the items were delicious!! Our favorites were the carnitas, al pastor, and camarones tacos. Im now dreaming of the prickly pear margarita 🤤 The owner is also so nice and staff was very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back here again!

Great food, great to go for a more tex mex feel. Very quick service, was worried about a wait but there wasn’t one even Labor Day Weekend. I got the Chorizo Rojo tacos and my husband got the burrito-less bowl. The frozen strawberry marg was out of this world and made me regret not getting one myself!!! I’m so happy I finally have a good mexican place in my favorite town! Victor, our server was fantastic, very attentive, welcoming, we will definitely be back. Thanks Victor for a great experience!
