Love the other locations of game universe. Came all the way down to the Franklin store for some MTG cards. When I spoke to an employee as there layout for card selection is different she gave me major attitude as if she didn’t want me to be in the store. I start sorting through some of the cards and she continues to belittle and talk down to me for placing the bin of cards on the counter right above the shelf I grabbed it from. When asking another employee (who has been grateful and helpful the best to his ability) about the cards I’m looking for she interrupted stating I had to place an online order for them. I love about 30 minutes away from this store and asked how long would it take to get the cards pulled after ordering online (I can take my family to lunch giving them plenty of time to pull cards). She informed me it would be 20 mins. Left after placing the order and informing her the order was placed. About an hour and a half later I come back to ask if it was ready for pickup. She continues to give me attitude and belittle me for asking a question, stating she never knew there was an online order placed. Currently the employee who was helpful had stopped what he was doing to pull the cards for me.
Moral of it all I really enjoy game universe but highly highly recommend if you want good customer service or to even look through cards without feeling bad for it I would go to either the Brookfield or...
Read moreLoved this place. Recently employee sent to another store an hour away that had product he was planning on getting that week. I went up the the mequon location and was told that information was wrong. The two stores actually called each other to try solve the problem. The way they choose to leave their single "held" inventory as "in stock" on Google to get people in the door. When I was asked if the one listed as available could be picked up by others yet and the response was to be laughed at as I was leaving. Apparantly taking enployee advice on stock location and and asking when products listed as available are actually available to purchase is avceptable behavior to insult people over. I'm sure they got their managers story and think I went in the raging when I did exactly as I was told. Go to the mequon shop they've got them in the back. He asked to talk to workers when I got there. The "held available" inventory is used as a ploy for Google searchs. The staff would rather reticule you for trying to buy something from them instead of admit they told me to visit their other shop where they had what I wanted.
Save yourself the 20-30% cost and avoid people who enjoy joking about how their manager level employees give customers direct suggestions and the just kind of shrugging their shoulders at you. Its not their fault they purposely keep their inventory in accurate and make up...
Read moreI won’t shop here since John left and went to the Brookfield location. Been a long time customer and just tired of coming into games universe south and not even getting a hello like it’s a burden that I’m there. 4 people behind the counter everyone looked no one said hello. Brought my stuff up to buy and could tell the cashier was annoyed. The only person who was descent was the chick who looked like a modern day sister from 40K. I’m gonna put my money elsewhere where I can get 20% on preorders and 15% off on out of stock purchases. After shopping here for years and having the African American gentlemen hover over my like I’m stealing I’m good, he Couldnt ask if needed help finding anything just needed to see what I was looking at my bad you have genestealers cult on one tiny little shelf and I gotta reach to look at everything. the old dude who’s tatted up could care less. All around bad experience for a local game shop I’m dissappointed I expected this behavior at the gw shop on Layton not here. Like i said this store has gone down since John the old...
