September 2025: this is my 3rd update on my review (see others below) and they still get a 1. They are not qualified to be selling high end products that they cannot fix. Not only regarding the swim spa and hot tub, but they also sell the electric Covana covers as a distributor. The new manager Debra Smith (this company used to be Hot Springs Spas of Music City) has hung up on me two times and they have caller ID so they ignore my calls when I need another repair. They act like they fix it. But they don't. They have no idea what they are doing! I've already sent a complaint letter via certified mail and got a response a couple days ago. However in our conversation she's accusing me of something that's not happening and when I told her we would go to a live video call so I can show her right there she said "no we won't" and hung up on me!! Now won't return my calls again. They owe me over $8,000 in fees and long distant surcharges since I live in Spring Hill and the service store is from Lebanon (even though I bought it in Franklin! No one told me it would be an extra $150 just for the distance plus the fee to look at it.) I paid to fix it, but I know now they've just installed it wrong from the beginning and jerry rigged it once when they couldn't figure out the problem! They've told me before that their specialist is saying that XYZ is what's wrong bc of something that either I've done wrong or weather related, but then when I talk to that specialist he tells me he's still in training!!!! I'm likely going to small claims court bc I've had enough Dennis is the original owner and I have no doubt that he's a scammer in this as well. Debra should be careful bc he's not reputable and she's going to get screwed by him. TBD. Or it's a partner deal and they both in on it. Something's not right.
March 2025- Well after giving them a 5 star rating for the sales side and installation 5 yeats ago, I must say now that I've had to pay thousands of dollars to fix either the Covana cover (DONT BUY IT! THE WARRANTY IS A BUNCH OF BS and they aren't backing up the product like when they sold it) or something with the pool/hot tub. They don't tell you everything you should know long term. Things like the underwater pool lights...certain colors don't show anymore, the hot tub had calcium buildup on the lines (no one told me I needed to buy stuff to purge it and clean the lines sporadically.) This caused a huge buildup and it took several flushes before fixed. The most frustrating is the Covana cover. I spent $18k for an elcetric cover that should last more than 3 years becore issues start bc it's covered by a deck and not exposed to the weather. But they try to say the deck around the pool/hot tub is causing the problem bc the motor isn't getting air? That's the biggest load of crap if you ask me. If that was going to be a problem the owners of Hot Slring Spa should have said this when they helped us with the idea. The crane they used to deliver it wasn't measured against our street before delivery, so it partially sat on the sidewalk and cracked the sidewalk badly along with huge cracks all the way down the driveway. Never fixed it. Only got responses from Dennis like "I'm in Africa right now, I'll be in touch when I return " to never hear from him. I e had to replace both legs on the covana cover that ha e motors. At over $3k per leg this is not what I expected from a quality product. Do not buy.
March 2020 Very happy with the swim spa we purchased. It's great to swim laps, great family fun and I will forever be thankful for the Covana cover. Worth every penny! The only negative thing I could say is that COVID caused major delays on our project. No ones fault... it is what it is. We also had several damaged side panels delivered, however Hot Spring Spa ordered all new ones. Read moreMy husband and I decided to get a hot tub to help both of us with back and other orthopedic issues; we were directed to Hot Spring Spas by a friend. The tub was installed yesterday and by yesterday night we were able to get in and enjoy it. As we began planning for the tub, we became aware that we had water/draining issues with our older home. This meant a fairly complex project of tearing out concrete, pouring new etc. by another company. There were a lot of hiccups; I had been working with Adam Thorup at the Cool Springs store and his patience and understanding (especially when I was frustrated with the construction) really helped the situation. In addition to being professional and supportive, Adam and I ended up talking a lot about other things, like our dogs, and I felt that we established a relationship that went beyond salesperson and customer. You get the immediate sense that he is sincerely vested in this Company and it's mission statement. He offered us a trial session in the store, so my husband could see the benefits and we truly enjoyed the afternoon. Tom had questions and Adam was able to give us the answers we needed. As my frustration wit the weather and concrete project continued, Adam assured us once we got the tub that it would be great and he was so very right. The installation was so smooth: both Stephen and Floyd were not only timely, they had called ahead (something I had not experienced with the concrete crew). Once here, they went to work and very quickly had things up and running. They were both very nice, and friendly to our very nosy dogs. When the tutorial began, it was presented in a clear and easy to grasp fashion (this being our first experience with something like this). They both clearly believe in this Company. The entire experience confirmed to me that going with Hot Spring Spas was the right choice. You feel that the company does indeed stand behind its product and that you are not going to be left with a hot tub thrown over your fence and resting in your front yard. We are delighted with the tub and very grateful to Adam for his patience and appreciative of Stephen and Floyd for making the nuts and bolts operation easy and enjoyable. I believe we have a quality tub as well. This was absolutely the right company to purchase a tub from. We will highly recommend Hot Spring Spas to anyone who is considering...
Read moreWe are a first time hot tub owner and really did not know where to start... We did the road show to Pool & Spa Depot, Family Leisure and Hot Spring Spas - Franklin. I was overwhelmed after visiting all 3 spots but I was certain that Adam Thorup (manager of the Hot Springs Franklin location) would be the most helpful after the spa purchase. So with that being the case I focused on Hot Springs. Adam encouraged us to come in for a "wet test" of the spas, which I recommend any buyer doing as they all felt very different. We settled on the Flash along with the salt water system, which so far has been great. We use it almost every night. I was iffy on the salt but after using our tub compared to a traditional tub I would definitely get the salt again. No scent to the water and I don't feel the need to immediately shower after soaking. There is clearly a reason that so many reviews mention Adam and his after-the-sale assistance and communication. For example, our electrician was delayed in getting our tub setup and Adam said to not worry about calling him in the evening to begin the initial chemical process. He coached us through at 9pm so everything would be ready to go the next day. He has also encouraged us to keep him updated as much as we need on our test strips and to call with questions until we feel comfortable. He ALWAYS answers or gets back in touch very quickly. I'm sure that over the years we will continue to have questions or need some sort of maintenance service and I'm confident that Adam will continue to deliver a great experience. So.....if you're a first time hot tub owner without a clue of what to do I strongly encourage you to consider Adam and Hot Spring Spas of Franklin as he will help you find the right tub and take excellent care of you during your tub ownership.
