A fantastic cup of coffee, local owners, and the convenience of a drive-through from this tiny lil Coffee House on Wheels. For what more could you ask?
--COFFEE-- I don't typically do anything fancier than an Americano with an extra shot, but tried one of Southerners' signature Drinks. It was a good choice.
I had The Southerner ... espresso, Ghirardelli chocolate, praline syrup, topped with whip and more sauce. Owner Christian had a (much-appreciated) light touch with the praline syrup which kept this sweet treat from slumping over into the too-much-or-one-not-enough-of-the-other mess that most flavored coffee-based sips turn into. These will always be a Sometimes drink for me, but this one was a good choice. Available 12, 16 and 20 oz. sizes.
I'll be back to try the plain old coffee soon. Punch card gets you a free coffee after 12 visits. I'm in.
--FOOD-- Grab-n-go snacks. If you want something more, hit Little Tiny Donuts. I hope Southerners' stays focused on the coffee. Mission creep kills small businesses just starting out.
--LOCATION-- This Tiny Little Coffee House on Wheels shares the parking lot with Little Tiny Donuts, positioning Southerners' to benefit from the foot traffic on the northern margin of downtown come spring. Southerners' drive-through food-truck approach is brilliant. Gives a great coffee pickup location for the Westhaven their way through town to pick up 65 in Cruel Springs
--SOAPBOX Here's the thing, Franklin residents (visitors too; howdy!). If you want downtown to have useful, repeat-business-type businesses, you've got to support the ones that give it a try. Stop standing in line up the street for the same cup you can get at literally 30,000 other locations worldwide. Drive two short blocks and get a better cup of coffee. You deserve it. And Franklin deserves the long-term impact of local business owners being able to raise their families based on money they earn...
Read moreHands down the best coffee in Williamson County! Southerner’s is a quaint coffee cart that can be found on 5th Avenue North, next to Tiny Little Donuts (now open 7 days/week – YAY!) and at local events around town (drive-in movie, festivals, etc). It offers drive-thru and walk-up service. The coffee here is so delicious and worth the wait (don’t be scared if there’s a line). I try to go at least once a week (and more, if the budget allows).
The owners (Estefani and Christian) are some of the friendliest, kindest folks you’ll ever chat with – they take the time to know their customers, to encourage each one, and invest in their day.
The coffee is delish – reminds me of freshly roasted coffee beans I had while in Ethiopia years ago. Their amazing drink selection ranges from the traditional classic coffee drinks to specialties like “The Southerner,” and I have thoroughly loved each one I’ve tried. They will even make something off menu, if you’d like. (My personal faves are the oatmilk latte and the iced Cuban). They also offer smoothies and options for kiddos.
Prices are good, coffee is great, the service is even better! Don’t miss out on this local gem! (And don’t forget to “tip for diapers”!) 😊 SHOP LOCAL and DRINK...
Read moreHello. Just wanted to thank you both for opening this up and bringing a little of Seattle/WA here. We moved here from there few years ago and I was excited when I found this place. Couldn't make it to Seattle for my daughter's bday so I woke her up before school and drove 20 miles to your little place on wheels at 7am to bring Seattle to her! It completely started her day right. Others living here might not appreciate it as much as someone like us who are use to these private drive thru places back in Seattle. Most places here don't have good espresso, usually sour taste to it but your espresso has WA state all over it...completely takes me back home. The coffee bean on top completely made me feel like I was at one of my favorite...
