Wesley's Playground — Attraction in Franklin

This is a great place to take children. However, even though they have toddler play areas, it would be nice to have it more gated/fenced off. I have three children and every one of them has tried escaping at some point. I end up chasing them to the parking lot and unable to enjoy my time there. With Main Street and the river bordering the park, it just is not safe for toddlers who might wander. Please consider a better fence to border the entire park, not a split rail fence they can duck under.

It will be great when my young children are older, but for the time, this mama cannot keep going to the park just to chase...

Nice park in a beautiful setting. A shame I can only give 2 stars. Because the fact that the only two bathrooms have needle depositories but no diaper changing facilities says a lot about this area unfortunately. Also scatterings of used batteries, cigarette lighters, and cigarette butts didn't give very child friendly vibes to the picnic shelter. But maybe I came on a bad day. Let me start by saying I don't have kids. So, the playground areas are clean and look like tons of fun. There are usually lots of kids there when I go for the dog park. There are two sections. One for dogs under 20 lbs and the larger area is for the bigger dogs. It's not very big but the bonus for my dog is she gets to run free in the small fenced area ( she's under 10 lbs😊) When she is done, we are ready to take a walk down the Greenway that runs along side of this...
