As a business-to-business client of Middle Davids Candles, we don't think we've ever had a more exemplary wholesale experience. Despite so often being opposites, the words professional and personal both come to mind, as co-owner Tauria was warm, efficient, attentive, thoughtful, and communicative on all fronts. We had the feeling that not only were we personally invested in the creation of our bookstore's line of literary candles, but so was Tauria--that's the kind of partnership that independent businesses really excel at, and Middle Davids goes above and beyond. Not only did we have an exceptional experience--but this was during the busiest time of year for retailers, and it felt like the entire Middle Davids crew put in an extra effort to get our candles hand-picked, poured, labeled, and shipped in record time. Our bookstore is over 500 miles away from Middle Davids, but they made us feel like neighbors. My wife and I have been shopping at Middle David's Candles for over a decade. The candles smell great and are higher quality than what you'll find at a big box candle shop. But what keeps us coming back is the tremendous value this "little candle shop" brings to our community.

At the start of the pandemic, a local classic movie theater was on the verge of closing its doors. Middle David's created a candle in honor of the theater (it smelled like popcorn and you can still buy it) and held a fundraiser. They gave away 100% of the revenue to the theater (keep in mind their business was restricted due to Covid and it would have been reasonable for them to keep a portion of the sales).

When you walk into Middle Davids Candles & Gifts, you just know you'll find something unique and fun for someone. I was there yesterday and found two pairs of earrings that will absolutely please my daughter-in-law... so even though her birthday isn't for 5 months, I picked them up right away! Everything at Middle Davids is so unique, that if you don't get it now, it probably won't be there when you come back later. Better safe than sorry, right? The lemon chiffon candle I brought home is so mellow and pleasant, too. I was always a vanilla candle person, but I'm thinking that this might be my new favorite scent.
