DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On thursday 7/24 I dropped off a box to be used for a gender reveal party on Sat 7/26 at the Freehold location. I had my doctor circle the color of the balloons I needed based on the sex (purple or blue) and seal it in an envelope. I explained what needed to be done to the girls at the balloon counter, which they replied that they have done this so many times. I picked up the box on Sat, still not knowing the gender. I opened the box in front of 60 of my friends and family and my very expensive catered party. Blue balloons came out. We were so excited. Later that night I checked the paper (because they gave it back to me, but I did not look as I wanted to be surprised) AND PURPLE WAS CLEARLY CIRCLED. NOt only was it circled, the technician also wrote 'congrats' and put a smiley face NEXT TO THE PURPLE. THE BALLOONS WERE WRONG. My entire party, my entire excitement, my entire emotions were completely ruined because of the error made by one of your employees. I am disgusted, angered and appalled that this happened. It was a simple direction, very clearly laid out and I was assured they knew what to do. THis is my first child and i wanted to do something special and now all my pictures and videos are of BLUE balloons and not purple. I went to the store and they refunded my money and gave me purple balloons. HOwever this does not even come close to making up for the error that was made. I will never ever use one of your stores again. I am in absolute shock and your company completely ruined the excitement of my little girl. I understand the real focus is on my healthy baby but something so easy was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is fine, it is what it is; a place to buy party supplies. It's pretty outdated and could really use a refresh.
There seems to be a lot of reviews complaining about prices. I don't buy a ton of balloons very often, so I don't know if they are expensive or not in comparison to other party places. For me, the prices seemed fair.
I DO know that the last time I was there, there was no one available on the salesfloor to help you. If you had any questions, there was literally no one to ask. You basically pick out a bunch of stuff and hope the balloons are the right sizes (because the answers they do give once you can get someone's attention are pretty vague). Every teenager was behind the counter talking to each other about personal stuff as they filled balloons... but at least they were working, I guess.
What did bother me was the argument I witnessed between the only older woman working there and another customer. The woman refused to do the right thing by the customer. The customer left the store, and the woman working talked some smack about her and was excited about not letting her get her way and things like that. The customer then returned to the store and this woman just kept escalating whatever the issue was. Horrible! I work in customer service and this was a perfect example of what not to do when a customer has a problem.
I'm glad I don't have to come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a happy birthday lawn sign with stakes for my sonās birthday. There was a small hole in the plastic package that I didnāt pay attention to. On the day of birthday, I opened the package and discovered that several stakes were missing so I was not able to use the letters. I was very disappointed not to be able to use it and to make a surprise for my son. I put everything in the same plastic package and went back to the store. They refused to take it back and implied that I was trying to return a used item. They also said the stakes were ādirtyā even though they never left my kitchen table. Yes, the package was ripped to be opened, how else can I open it? There was a hole in it in the first place. They told me they wouldnāt sell it to me if there was a hole. Well, you did sell it and it was defective. Stay away, the customer service is non existent when there is a problem. I believe it was not fair and it had to come out...
