Went there today to see the Kung Fu demonstration by the Dragon Kung Fu studio across the street. The Smith Center was an excellent venue to have this two hour perform. Lighting is excellent. The stage is large and can accommodate many people on stage at one time. There is a powerful overhead projector that can display slides with clarity. Parking on campus costs four dollars but the parking lot near the Smith Center is limited and you will have to go down the hill to the main parking lot and climb up to the Smith Center like I did. An excellent way to get some exercise. The reason I couldn't give the Smith Center five stars is that the seating arrangement is a bit tight in legroom. So if people need to leave or go to the bathroom, it is a tight squeeze to get by. Also, the seats are old and seem somewhat worn. Overall, the Smith Center is very good as a venue for performances but the older seats and limited parking keeps me from giving the center five stars.

Nice Venue. Medium size. Have to pay parking. Audio and video systems were good and no interruptions because of that

When you buy tickets on line they offer to mail your tickets for $4 extra. I paid this fee and 8 days later the day of the show the tickets have still not arrived. I live in Fremont and was able to print my ticket so it did not matter . At the box office they were not apologetic and just said they must have mailed them. No where on the web site or your parking ticket is there any information about where parking lots are, and that your parking ticket must be left on the dash of your car. If you have not been there before it is totally confusing and annoying. This was in the day time I wonder what happens at evening shows. The whole operation is amaturish and...

The indoor theatre is great for shows. Small front/concession area but it is enough. They have checked for vaccination for all the shows and masks as required by the county. The out door amphitheater is also amazing. Best seats are in the center. But the sides now have a back. Bring something to sit on as you will feel it if the show is long. Also the evening get really chilly so dress in layers and bring a blanket if you are...
