Ordered the seafood tofu hot pot with rice and soup. The soup was an unusual bird's nest soup with yam and corn on the cob. Before I was half done with the soup, the hot pot was ready! The squid was tender and the shrimp tasted fresh. The fish filet wasn't overcooked. It was served piping, burning hot - perfect. Note that you can ask the chef for less salt or less oil - professional Chinese chefs are never offended if you ask for small adjustments. The total came to $13.02 after tax. Service was fast and friendly. The only improvement I could ask for is better attention to cleanliness (having to shoo two flies while eating ruins the experience). Otherwise, a solid five stars. I'll be back to try their lunch specials.

3 dishes for $30?! Can't get better than this. Definitely one of my favorite places to get Chinese food in Fremont. Place is small with a few tables but most people seem to take it to go. If you dine in though, you get the soup of the day! Soup is typically a clear herby broth. Food is flavorful, portions are decent, and service is great and fast. I love the sweet shanxi fish fillet (tastes almost like sweet and sour fish) as well as their black bean fish. But really, you can't go wrong with anything you order here!!! In addition they have lunch specials on weekdays (except Wednesday because they are closed) and accept credit cards with no extra charge!

Decent quality food, but serious issues of quantity and price. A lunch plate (with chow mein for rice substitution) was $20. The amount of food was probably the same that you would get in a panda express order. The chow mein was almost equal parts bean sprouts than noodles, and there was much less meat than vegetables in the entrees. Refilling a glass of water cost 50¢, which is pretty crazy. If you want to support a local establishment, go ahead and break the bank, but if you just want a bite to eat, you are better off saving your money and going somewhere else.

You should really try this place and support a fantastic local business! We recently had this restaurant reserved for a family meal for 12 of us. We ordered everything family style, and a wide selection of dishes - fish, chicken, pork, beef, and vegetarian. Everything was fantastic! The lady who runs the restaurant is super friendly and the service is great. We have been disappointed with BKs Bistro this past year - (I'm guessing that they changed cooks) so I am super happy to have a new go-to place. We've eaten here twice this month and it has been great both times. For those of you who have lived in this area for many decades, you may remember the Pine Garden on Smith Street in Union City (it's now the Bird Haus Beer Garden which is good in a different way). The Pine Garden had the world's best Tomato Beef Chow Mein. EE Home Cookings version is very good but I'm still searching for that Pine Garden...

This is the top Cantonese style Chinese restaurant in all of Fremont. And as a native San Franciscan that lived near Chinatown, this restaurant can easily compete with any of them. Once I found this place which is across from Ohlone College in an alley, it took me back to my childhood living at eating in San Francisco. Prices are very reasonable and the owner, Fanny, makes sure you have a pleasant experience at her restaurant. The place is small so take out is recommended if you have a large group. The restaurant is very clean and quiet. They have a three item menu for $27.00 which lets you pick almost anything on the menu. Portions are large so the three item menu can easily feed a family of four big eaters. Great hole-in-the-wall place and is a hidden jewel. Try their tomato beef dishes. It is just like SF Chinatown but only better and without all the grease. Very highly...

3 ENTREE DISHES FOR UNDER $30 DOLLARS.

If you love Chinese home cooking then look no further, this place is the bomb diggity.

I'll address the only downside first which is the place is small with about 8 tables that can sit groups of 2-4 maybe 6 if you squeeze. Buttttt Chinese food is just as good for takeout anyway ;) also they close on Wednesdays.

Aside from that, excellent food, generous portions, great service, and it's not ca$h only! What more can you ask for?!

I'm a super fan of their sweet and sour pork and black bean fish fillet. But honestly, everything looks good. An entree per person is about right if you're a hearty eater and save the carbs as a side or add on to your 3 main entrees.

Highly recommend dining here if you're in the mood for...
