Vinland Park — Attraction in Fresno

Just had my grandson's birthday party here & we had a very good time. I got there with plenty of time to reserve us 2 of the 4 benches that are there. But after a few hrs into the party we saw nobody was going to use the other 2 so we got those as well. All located right under some trees, providing lots of shade and a nice breeze. The grass around 2 of the benches was pretty muddy but dried up as the day went by. Bathrooms are very close to the bench area and are pretty clean. Only bad thing is there are no doors on the stalls. No privacy! There were a few visitors throughout the day; folks walking their dogs, families bringing the children to play and get wet, people just passing thru either on foot or on bikes stopping for some rest. As long as you understand that it's a neighborhood park and a community park it's a good one. Nice field that people play sports on. Nice courts that people play sports on. Water is turned on during the summer hot days for the children to play in with lots of spacious area, grass for parents if you want to lay down your picnic blanket and basket. Space for small birthday parties. Small neighborhood parties pretty much. Animal on leash friendly. Play structure. And cities usually there keeping up the grounds. There are homeless. But in my experience in the neighborhood they tend to stay to themselves in so I also respect their space I just wouldn't allow my children in the bathroom. Good park though. Friendly. Lights stay on late...

If the bathrooms were cleaner I would have given this a five-star. It's a big Park not much here though. Has a nice water park a playground a tennis court and a nice view and many squirrels. The only thing I could actually criticize is the restroom, smelled like fabuloso and ammonia. Not really clean too well, looks like it gets a spray but not very well, there is toilet paper stuck to the walls and some cobwebs at the ceiling. Seems like if they're going to spray it down they need to spray it down right and the cleanup crew I just saw leave here and there is still garbage on the ground that they almost walked right by.
