This hotel has the rudest and most criminal staff I’ve ever seen. My husband and son stayed 2 nights here as we were in town for business. The woman at the front desk who is working and answering the phone today 10/10/2023 at 1:45pm is the rudest person I’ve ever come into contact with. She refused to give me her name, and hung up on me. She allows staff to smoke marijuana in the lobby. We were checking in late in the afternoon I had to deal with the staff blowing pot smoke in my face. I’d have turned around right then and gone to another hotel, but we had an appointment we needed to get to. When we got to our room, My husband slipped and fell and hurt his back. The floors were sticky and there appeared to be liquid on the floor that we figured was from when they cleaned the room. . So I grabbed a towel and wiped up the clear liquid. But who wouldn’t? We were later charged $5.00 for wiping up liquid they left and the dirt that got on their towel from their dirty floors! At check in I saw her charge two other guests the same. I didn’t think much of it at the time. We are alerting, BBB, The federal Trade Commission and Fair housing about this. We had to stay another night to conclude our business and When we got back they hadn’t even cleaned the room or made the bed. Unbelievably lazy, and rude staff. Finally we finished our business and left with a promise to never stay at University Inn again. Which was a shame as their mattresses are quite nice and rooms are more affordable. But thats the only thing positive I can say. Fast forward 3 days, my husband is bed ridden from his falling in whatever was left on the floor and we were charged $5.00 out of our deposit for cleaning it up. I couldn’t let this go so I called. The woman who’s working today said there was a towel that was dirty! I said excuse me? Of course they are we showered before we left. She said no there was a dirt stain. I couldn’t believe it. I told her that’s because you guys left liquid from we assumed cleaning the room( which was only putting towels, soap and making the bed from what I could tell and my photos) my husband slipped and fell and I grabbed a towel to clean up the clear liquid. I told her there was a little dirt from your floor. I told her they were very dirty and sticky so I cleaned up what the maid should have and then put the towel in the corner. She said that’s why we charged you $5. I was outraged and said incredulously are you kidding me? We supposed to leave a puddle of liquid on the floor after one of us just fell and hurt ourselves? She refused to answer me. So I said, so if my 3 yr spilled a cup of water on the floor we are supposed to just leave it? She refused to answer. She said I’m not going to argue with you. I said who’s arguing I asked you a direct question and you won’t answer it because you know how absurd it sounds. I told her I want the corporate office number and your name. She hung up on me and wouldn’t provide either. I just looked at the phone in shock. I cannot find the corporate office number, so instead I called our attorney. We are filing a suit against this hotel for unsafe business practices and conditions, criminal activity at the hotel and a hostile environment as well as lost wages and pain and suffering. We also want this employee fired and the lot of them to be taught proper business practices. I truly hope the owner is not complicit in the deceit and truly awful business practice. I’ve managed a hotel before, I’m truly appalled 😳

Read moreWhat can I say, my stay started out great was there almost two weeks until I wasn't going to receive my expense reimbursement check until around 3 or 4 so I could pay for another week there but check out was 11 they gave me to 1 but then it was get out, the maintenenace man who showed me his Happy Days Fonzi Hit the Side of the pay washer with bellowing laughter to get it to operate not even 14 hrs before was now the heavy in an almost physical removal of me and my belongings from the room, then proceeded to stand there and watch me try to carry all my belongings (longterm stay ice chest, Food, clothes, etc . PLUS Everything for my Dogs) down the stairs and out to the car 14 trips they stood and watched a guest who just recently had his knee replaced. I had requested a groundfloor room for my dogs and for my knee but the only room available when I checked in so I took it. ANYWAYS all that to then carry everything back in not even 2 hours later when my check droppedand I was able to pay for the room again. Needless to say that was the last night I stayed I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room that night becuase I over did it trying to heave all that stuff back up to the room and spent the next week in the hospital recovering from that super rude and bad guest relations fiasco they call policy. There was not one complaint, problem, hassle nothing about me or my dogs while I was there, so I was shocked by the sudden change in attitude and demeanor and then to have the guys watch me and not even offer to help for 45 mins as I hobbled it all down and then for 1.5 hours to get it back up not even 2/hours later. They would not extend my checkout by two hours for a longterm guest who was gonna stay a couple weeks more, when the GM of a local Motel 6 heard about this on the news he sent over a very nice welcoming team to escort myself, my dogs and all our belongings into a very nice clean quiet room and also carried it all down and delivered it to ku personal residence a week later. That. Is. How. You. Treat. A. Disabled. Guest. But besides that Fatima and Nora at the Front Desk were amazing I just hope that they're able to find a place to work that deserves and supports their efforts to provide the world class guest experience those two try to provide...
Read moreI am so disappointed with the attitude I had to endure and the service sucked I just came from a long trip from Honolulu and needed a place to rest my neck I thought the hotel looked decent enough to stop and get a room for the night but he'll no !! I couldn't even get a towel to take a shower to start my morning me and my boyfriend were shocked to hear you can only ask for one towel per room no matter you checked in for two and the customer gave me the biggest attitude for asking I'm shocked no where in he'll did I ever expect that especially for what I paid have I ever been so disappointed to take a shower and check out what a. I supposed to do about this I'm am so raged now I guess I wo.t get my deposit back I will never ever reco.mend this place to anyone the service is a bad review if I ever think about renting I'll check with the homeless shelters first " I'd have better luck giving towels and to top it off I couldn't even ask for the managers number without getting an attitude from the front desk they need to teach them better English so maybe they can understand cmon everyone takes showers and I am so disappointed with this place it really makes me sick I'm surprised that their still in business if the front desk people don't like their job maybe they shouldn't be working with people the service tucked they acted as if the towels were worth gild what am I supposed to do rum off with the 2folar towels bring your own towels I guess if you ready to deal with a manager you can't get ahold of or a fu cked up attitude I guess that's how they treat you co.ming in from paradise I will never received commend this place again. To anyone they really suck happy valentines to me huh some way to get my morning started now let's hope I get my deposit back !! Sincerely...
