Since Covid, we understand that seating for restaurants is limited so going to the drive-thru has almost become the "norm". But this was a completely different. Upon pulling up to the restaurant we saw approximately 8 cars in the line. We were okay with that as the line usually goes pretty fast. We waited about 20 minutes in line to get up to the menu board just to have the woman say to me, "we are no longer taking orders this evening". I am thinking, maybe they are only taking orders from the window for some odd reason. So my response is, "so do I need to pull up to the window and order"? Her response was, "our computers are down and we are no longer taking orders" I then asked her how long she thought it would take for the system to be back up and she told us 20-30 minutes. At this point I am not wanting to wait almost an hour to get food from a "fast food restaurant" but there is several cars in front of me all of which are empty because the drivers are at the window trying to figure out how were all going to get out of the drive-thru and about the same amount behind us all. A manager or someone from the restaurant should have come out and assisted us or at least announced that their system was down. Read moreUpdate: I’ve visited this located 3 more times in the past 3 years and nothing has changed. I’d understand it being a one time mistake but the service and quality is consistently poor. I’ve worked graveyard shifts before in fast food and understand being tired but I never let that prevent me from providing good service. As for the food I’m not sure if their line is having issues keeping food at safe temps or if the food is just sitting for longer than its safe window. I’ve completely stopped going back to jack in the box since. It’s just not worth the issues and service it comes with. As someone who has worked in fast food I can honestly say that their Night crew is consistently slow but the night crew for 8/10/22 at approximately 8:50pm was rude and unprofessional. Apparently they can’t add a simple menu item chocolate lava cake that isn’t something that needs to be cooked. I’d understand if it was another combo being added at the window and they had a super long line but it wasn’t. There was 1 additional car behind me and that was it. There’s a reason this location doesn’t get that busy. The food was cold fries half cooked partially frozen. I’d understand mistakes like that if it was a dinner rush but it was dead. Read moreWent through the drive-thru, had to repeat my order multiple times, paid and got the window slammed in my face without receiving all my food. So I waited, then the girl, who worked on 2/27/16 around 7pm, was standing there with the rest of my order in hand, took an order and talked a bit with someone without looking, but knowing I was still there. Eventually she finally opened the window without looking or talking to me, shoves the rest of my order at me and slams the window without ever looking in my direction. I was never rude or complained the entire time! I hate when I see people act like they're royalty when eating out or against people who they can "bully" and get away with it. This person sucks and represented the restaurant poorly. I was the first car through the drive thru and 2 cars came behind me AFTER I was sitting there at the window, so being backed up on orders was no excuse. When one goes to Jacks drive-thru we all expect to hear "is that all, is that it" after every item requested so there's also that.
