Don Pepe Taqueria — Restaurant in Fresno

Pretty horrible packaging when getting Menudo. They use plastic lids like for the soda to cover up a hot soup. The soup was scorching hot and my cousin got into the car The plastic melted and the cup holder they gave us just melted on how hot the soup was. My cousin got second-degree burns on his legs. When We called to complain they said that they've been serving soup like this all the time. This is extremely dangerous it could've been a horrible had my kids or somebody else for that matter had drop the soup on themselves. I did however get a refund for my order. Just extremely upset on how they handle things they really didn't even want to give me a refund and they were basically blaming it on me that the soup fell on my leg. I began to explain to them that we didn't even drive off the parking lot. I told him that the plastic was melted away and the lid was shrinking and when I sat in the car when the cupholder melted all the soup just fell at all my leg. To me it seems like they really didn't even care. The manager was never on site nor did the manager ever call us or talk to us. The manager basically left the employees to basically handle the situation. Their vibe was more like a oh well it's your problem not ours. On a Sidenote their food is really delicious I’ve never had a problem with the taste of their food this was just a bad experience...

I had shrimp tacos from this place last year and I completely fell in love. I'd order twice a week at one point, before they started skimping on their very special, sacred-to-me spicy salsa. After that, they started to put rice and beans on my DoorDash orders that I specified I wanted no rice and no beans on. Then, on a subsequent order that went wrong - on account of me receiving rice and beans on a carne asada tacos order - I got raw onion and cilantro in foil, NO SALSA again after specifically requesting it in the special instructions section, and had to call the store to request a refund.

I recently went to order again and I see that Don Pepe's removed the option for special order instructions, so I put my request in the comment box on the payment page requesting no rice & beans and they still got my order wrong! I told my boyfriend that I feel like they were messing with me, because they put beans and no rice on one asada taco, nothing on the other, and rice on the shrimp taco. Do they read the special instructions? They also gave me NO kind of salsa, red or green, no lemons for either 3 of my tacos, and most upsetting of all - not even any cilantro or onions. I thought I had no words to describe this experience, but I can just say I'll never eat here again. Pics provided for reference.

I love Don Pepe's burritos. They're my favorite but lately they've been treating me kind of weird. They all speak Spanish while making the food. With that said l'm a Mexican that doesn't speak Spanish, but I understand it and there's been a couple of times I catch them making remarks about what kind of Mexican am I because I don't want avocado and I don't want cheese in my burrito. And today was the last straw They made remarks not knowing that I understand what they're saying although I don't speak Spanish, I understand it. I've been letting it go one because I'm in my company shirt and I'm on the clock getting my lunch and two l'm highly non-confrontational about the food industry. But this time I'm sure they know what they were doing because I ordered from the same Dan Pepe's over and over and it's been gradually getting worse and worse and this time they put the sour cream in a cup and gave it to me instead of putting it in my burrito like I asked, and when I walked in, they smiled at me smirking and laughing as I walked away. I will probably order from this don Pepe's again. But I'm just letting y'all know my experience. Again, nothing is wrong with the food. It's always amazing but it's a service and the cooks that are the problem. So four star food one...
