While Elton John was amazing and awe inspiring!!, we did have an issue with our seating and how it was handled by staff. We were admittedly about 10 min. late. Upon arrival the door staff was great. We found an usher to help us locate our seats, also great. We had apparently purchased seats in a wheelchair accessible area, where there are fold out chairs instead of stadium seating (106Y) which we were not aware of. Also totally fine. However, once we got there, we were told "we had to put someone else in your seat, sorry" to which my friend replied "we paid alot of money for these seats..." (about $250), and the lady guarding the curtain said she'll see what she can do. She returned saying "we're not supposed to do this, but we'll add another chair there for you". (I'm thinking, not supposed to give us the seats we paid for?) As she was going to grab another chair I guess, another lady, I'm assuming a manager walked in with 2 chairs, set them behind the person they had given our seats to. We asked if they were for us and she was very short and said "hold on, we have 2 more people coming"(at this point we're standing around dealing with this instead of watching the show) After she walked away and came back, she realized the 2, were us...leaving our chairs behind our purchased seats, where the gentleman they had given them to was seated. The first lady helped us to squish the chairs up to where they were supposed to be at the irritation of the other people next to us (not the gentleman who had been given our seat) who I'm assuming also purchased their tickets for a good chunk of money. A few songs in, we went to get drinks and snacks and came back to our chairs moved to "get them out of the way"....and then another few minutes to get everything back situated. The person who was given our seats was a large gentleman. I completely understand needing to accommodate that, and that unexpected situations happens, walk-ins, people don't purchase the right tickets, etc.. However, if that is the case, then the people who that affects should be reasonably accommodated as well. Like offer us different seats or ask him politely if he would mind moving back a bit so everyone is not squished. We are Moms that rarely get a chance to get fancy and go out, and it was our last chance to see a legend too. And that was alot of money to us. We should not be treated as if we have caused a "situation" when we simply showed up to enjoy the night that we had been planning for a whole year. Elton John was so amazing, and we had a great time, because that's what we do! But this popped up in my Google thing so I thought I would share my...
Read moreI recently attended a WWE event at the Save Mart Center, and I must say, the experience was absolutely fantastic! Located at 2650 E Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA, this venue is truly a gem in the heart of Fresno.
From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was electric. The Save Mart Center is an impressive facility, with modern architecture and well-maintained grounds. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the entry process smooth and hassle-free despite the large crowd.
Inside, the arena is spacious and well-designed, providing excellent visibility from virtually every seat. The seating is comfortable, and the layout ensures that everyone has a great view of the action. For the WWE event, the setup was perfect, and the acoustics were spot on, amplifying the excitement and energy of the crowd.
The event itself was thrilling, and the Save Mart Center played a big part in enhancing the overall experience. The lighting, sound system, and large screens were top-notch, ensuring that every moment of the WWE spectacle was captured brilliantly. The crowd was lively, and the atmosphere was simply wonderful, making it an unforgettable evening.
The concession stands offered a good variety of food and drinks, with reasonable prices and quick service. Restrooms were clean and conveniently located, which is always a plus during large events.
Parking was ample and well-organized, with clear signage and attendants directing traffic efficiently. This made both arriving and leaving the event straightforward and stress-free.
Overall, the Save Mart Center is an outstanding venue for hosting major events like the WWE. The combination of excellent facilities, professional staff, and a vibrant atmosphere makes it a top choice for entertainment in Fresno. I highly recommend attending an event here if you get the chance – you won't be...
Read moreThis was my first time attending a concert at The Save Mart Center and likely my last. From the get-go, event parking was extremely disorganized. They tell you that parking and merchandise will be cashless, meaning only card payment or digital payment will be taken but it wasn't like that. They directed us to the card car line, but there they still asked if cash or credit. They only had ONE card reader. Luckily I had cash, and ended up being able to pay 50 instead of 25 to park closer. Then, the entrance line was also a disorganized mess. One door and they wanted 2 lines? They were checking purses for size IN the line while we stood in the cold rain. Upon entering, there were 2 or 3 metal detectors but no one actually checking the contents of purses. We went through the metal detectors with our phones, keys, everything. That was really odd to me. Inside, there was a big vip bar that was sectioned off, which I guess everyone was drinking at, which lead to people not seating on time and the concert started late until they couldn't put it off any longer.
The following is not a venue issue so much as it was just not pleasant to deal with. People being rude, drunk, not sitting even after older folks asked them to please sit so they could also enjoy the concert. I am aware that everyone pays for their ticket but having been to so many concerts, this was by far the rudest crowd I've been in that didn't show any respect for the older people in the crowd. But if no one is standing infront of you, maybe don't stand infront of others. Be kind.
The positives, the sound system worked great. I couldn't complain there. Stage arrangement was perfect so everyone in every...
