I honestly have no idea why this place has such good business except other than the fact that it has a great location. I suppose that is a bit rhetorical. But I digress. Here is why I gave it 1-star and won't be back: The variety of items they have for you to build your poke is fine, but they scoop piping hot sushi rice into the bowl to form the bed for the poke. For me, that is an instant no go since hot rice and raw fish is a bacteria experiment waiting to happen. But I suppose in this instant it might balance out since the raw first they served was FROZEN. Maybe not the yellowtail, but certainly the salmon and tuna chunks we had were like biting into frozen fruit. Another singular reason to make it an instant bad experience. And put the two items together along with the relatively expensive price and small portions and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I suppose others might like this place, and to those people ... I salute you. However, in the future I'll just go a little further down the street to Roll & Poke where the portions are generous, the sushi rice cool, and the fish is fresh but not frozen.

On today’s edition of “best poke in the Frisco/Plano area” I review Pure Poke. The good: by far, their branding is the best. I love their logo and building set up. They do the Subway approach to ordering. You get to see all the ingredients and pick what you want. (Other places use a check box ordering form) The spicy options have a variable spicy ness since they spice it up to order, that is really nice if you like things more or less spicy. They offer rice cracker toppings. Lots of drink options. The bad: price. Most expensive bowl yet (by 25¢) as a base price. In addition, they charge extra for 1 scoop of masago. Not having spicy Mayo behind the counter. It is an add it yourself deal. Some might like that, but if riding something to go, I just want them to add it. The taste is great and no weird fishy smells! I would return. As of now, I think here is the winner

i am a poke lover and this place is not it. i came at 1:30 on a friday pros: - complimentary miso, it’s yummy albeit salty - option for 1 protein bowl for cheaper (don’t see that often) - yellowtail option - price is actually super good, best i’ve seen for poke cons: - the salmon is frozen??? one bite and i hear the icy crunch and it’s super cold and i don’t get any flavor. i saw a previous reviewer had the same problem but it looks like it has not been resolved. it finally did defrost at the end of my meal but there was not much flavor - canned pineapple - yellowtail has no flavor :( - portions are eh for everything tldr; try it if you like but there are better poke spots in the area. it’s cheap but doesn’t have much flavor that i expect in a poke bowl.

I recently stumbled upon a poke place that left me thoroughly impressed with its quick service and amazingly fresh food. If you're in the mood for a delicious, healthy meal, then this spot is definitely worth a visit.

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the clean, modern ambiance of the restaurant. The menu was filled with an array of options for poke bowls, and it was difficult to choose just one. Ultimately, I decided to go for a classic tuna bowl with plenty of veggies and toppings.

The service was incredibly fast, and my bowl was prepared right in front of me with lightning speed. The ingredients looked incredibly fresh and the portion sizes were generous, so I knew I was in for a treat.

As soon as I took a bite, I was hooked. The tuna was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the veggies and toppings all complemented each other perfectly. The sauces were also spot-on, providing a delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and the speed of the service. It's clear that this poke place takes great care in sourcing the freshest ingredients and preparing them with care. If you're looking for a quick, healthy meal that's bursting with flavor, then I highly recommend giving this spot a try. You won't be...

Very interesting new concept for a poke place. You get to direct the server how you want your bowl. First you order small (1 serving of protein), medium (2 servings of protein), or large (3 servings of protein). You get your choice of sushi rice or brown rice, and protein. Then the vegetables and sauces come next. The sauces vary in spice so you could tailor it to your taste. There are additional sauces available on the side if they didn't add enough.

The miso soup is complimentary as well as the cucumber mint water.

I had the nedium brown rice with both proteins being hamachi (yellowtail tuna). The fish was fresh and tasty, but I over ordered the sauce, so the flavors were a bit overwhelmed. The portions are small, so if you're hungry, definitely go for the large size. The prices really reflect the portion size accordingly.

They place has a lot of nice touches. We went for a late lunch, but I could see myself going for a quick dinner if I'm in the mood for poke.

They also have some prepared sushi in the refrigerated chest by the cash register. Of you're in a hurry, grabbing something to go is very easy.
