Hello my name is Avery, I stayed at this “4 star” hotel last night and unfortunately could not be more upset. If I could rate this hotel based on appearance and cleanliness I would rate 5 stars but this rating will be solely based on the customer service I received... I called this hotel and spoke too a very nice lady and asked multiple questions before I made my 2 hour drive too this location, my main question was what is the minimum age you need too be too stay here seeing as some locations only allow 21+ guests when I am only 20 years old. She explained you only needed too be 18 too stay and I could book a room. I got too the hotel at around 12am very tired and also recovering from a fractured heel from events earlier in the day (very tired and ready too rest) when I came too the front desk I asked Corey (employee) by chance if they had a wheel chair I could use, he said no so then I asked if I could book a room. Corey took my ID and card and told me that I was not 21 and could not book a room. After calmly explaining too him I spoke too some one 2 hours ago on the phone that said it was an 18+ location and also verifying the phone number too make sure I was at the right hotel he kept telling me I could not stay there. I asked him for a manager and he said he was the only person there, I asked him for a phone number too someone in charge of him and he said he doesn’t know it, I asked for a corporate phone number and he explained he didn’t know it. (Keep in mind the entire time he is slouched in his desk chair giving me attitude and no customer service what so ever) then I looked up a customer service phone number and called in front of him on speaker phone for him too hear. I spoke too another really nice lady and she asked for the location this was happening at and explained she was not sure why he was telling me it was 21+ because the location was actually 18+. She then called him at his desk phone and he walked out of the room and explained too her I was being rude and was worried about a wheel chair. I was not worried about the wheel chair after he told me they didn’t have one. She got back on the phone with me and said too please just be patient with Corey because he has the right to refuse service. I cannot explain how frustrating this was. After I got off the phone Corey took my ID and card, and did not say one word too me, didn’t tell me how much I was being charged. Didn’t tell me what room I would be staying in. Didn’t give me any option to choose a cheaper or more expensive room (no clue if there even is an option) and then handed me my ID and card back and gave me a room key. I’ve worked retail for 4 years now and I have never seen anything as disrespectful and ignorant as this. I’m so disgusted with the way I was treated and unfortunately will never be able too look at la Quinta again. Will be contacting some sort of corporate and or...
Read moreI really like this hotel because you can have a pet in any room of the hotel so if you're booking a hotel online and it says pet friendly you can't normally see a pet room available you just have to book a room and then when you get to the hotel they will put you in a pet friendly room that's if they have one and then they charge you more and most places charge a pet fee to clean the rooms differently... I've had to cancel my reservations and go to another hotel because they had no pet rooms left even though I booked a room but all the pet rooms were booked...there is not even a place to put you have a pet when booking online so how do you guarantee you will have a room there...you don't it all depends on if they still have a pet friendly room...so if you have any kind of pet the La Quinta in Fruita will allow you to be in any room even the ones with the jetted tub in the room... the cleanliness of the rooms sometimes are not real great...especially the bathroom sink around the plug normally looks like the sink is just wiped out not cleaned I've complained about it and since then they seem to be better...I have stayed at this hotel numerous times the front desk people are friendly and are quick to get you something for your room if needed...breakfast is ok... it's just never any different always scrambled eggs and sausage, waffles, cold breakfast, breads and fruits is not bad food just never any different but it is a great place to stay if you have pets and yes they do charge a pet fee $25 per pet but your guaranteed a room unlike other places that are...
Read moreI recently had my wedding ceremony up on the Nation Monument and choose to stay at the La Quinta, as it was close to my ceremony site. Lonnie and his staff were top-notch from the beginning to a couple of days past the end of my guest-stay experience with them. I had many questions prior to my actual stay and they answered all of my seemingly pointless questions with intentness and friendliness. During my stay they were more than accommodating, helping us locate to a more suitable room and making special arrangements to make our stay as stress free and comfortable as possible (i.e. storing the wedding bouquets in their company fridge, so were we able to use our room fridge for more appropriate things-snacks, beverages, etc.). And when Murphy's Law struck and my vehicle wouldn't start as we were leaving to head up to the ceremony, they assured me that I could keep my vehicle there as long as I needed in order to enjoy my wedding day and they day(s) to follow. They ensured me that the vehicle was safe and they would keep an eye on it; as I had personal items stored in there and due to the vehicle issues the doors would not lock. When I returned all of my belongings were still safely stored and the vehicle was exactly as I had left it. Outstanding customer service that went above and beyond anything that they were required to do. Thank you for making my stay and the days to follow as stress free as possible, you added to the positive memories associated with my big...
