Colorado Backcountry Biker — Local services in Fruita

Where the locals go and where we tell tourists they should go. If its broke they can fix it. Best mechanics in the valley, but hands down the best service I have ever had anywhere. They treat everyone like a friend.

Memorial day weekend 2016, its Saturday night and my 2 month old bike, that I had purchased elsewhere, had the brakes fail on the trail. The LBS where I made the purchase would not open until Monday and it was after 5. I thought my weekend plans were toast but CBB had bikes out front so I stopped. Tony and his mechanic worked on my brakes, found a manufacturers defect, but were able to get me up and running for the weekend. Then they would not take any money!

Fast forward 9 months, my 10 year old is ready to ride a more aggressive trail for the first time. He goes to ride around the block and we have a problem. CBB was not even completely open yet, through the bike in the stand and had me out the door in 10 minutes. The cost... a 6 pack.

After shopping for a bike at every store in town, I finally stopped here and wondered why I didn't come here first (best for last?!). Not only were the staff very friendly and knowledgeable, they were all genuinely interested in helping me find a bike that fits me well (without any pressure to buy). There was a bike that was almost right for me; Noah made small adjustments to the stem and seat position, which, to my surprise, made the bike perfectly comfortable and exactly the right bike for me. Each person I interacted with, over the span of several days, was able to answer my questions in a manner that I was able to understand, which is helpful since I don't yet know all of the technical terms for bike parts. I left the shop knowing that this is now my official bike shop that I'll go to for all of my bike needs in the future! Thank you to all the staff at CBB...

My wife and I were on vacation in Fruita and my rear brake stopped working and needed a bleed. I took my bike into CBB first thing in the morning. They gave the rest of my bike a checkup to make sure all was good. Told me to go get some breakfast and half way through breakfast I got a text my bike was ready. I finished breakfast picked up my bike and the price was very reasonable. They saved my vacation.
