I purchased a bike and equipment from this shop, and I live over 300 miles away. Why would I do this? Because I rented a bike, (Santa Cruz Bronson C), liked the way it handled, and Over the Edge Sports staff gave me a smoke'n deal! I was in two days before buying G-Form protective wear for elbows and knees, because they have a very good selection and inventory. Kirk, store employee, was very helpful with sizing and the purchase of a couple other things. Next day, bought some more items and talked to store employee Greg. He too was very helpful and knowledgeable. That day I decided to rent the Bronson, which I picked-up about an hour before closing. Today, I rode the bike, found a way to get it home in my vehicle; since my bike rack was already loaded with personal bikes. And when I returned the bike, I talked to Greg, Kirk, and 'someone higher up', who gave me a deal I couldn't refuse. So if your looking for a new bike to you, or just a new bike, or rent from an extensive selection of bikes, this is the time and place in Fruita. Just get your ride in early in the morning and late in the evening to avoid the heat during this time of year (June). Bought my wife’s bike here last year. She Demo’d the Santa Cruz Tallboy in mid December, but the new version she wanted to buy wasn’t available yet in her size and color. Mike called us Christmas Eve and said the bike was in. He offered to let us buy it and take it home on Christmas Day even though the shop was closed! Over the top customer service from such a fantastic crew there! I came back this December looking at Demo’s that they were selling. Mike showed me a screaming deal on a lightly used Pivot Switchblade rental. I took it out for a ride and loved it. Also Demo’d the Santa Cruz Tallboy and Hightower. Josh took me out and answered all of my questions between the three bike options. His extensive knowledge was invaluable in helping me make my decision. Bought the Pivot and ride it on Horsethief in the afternoon and could not be happier with my choice!! Over the Edge made my experience in Fruita over the moon!! I rented a Trek Fuel EX 9.9 AXS from them for our trip to Fruita and what an amazing bike!!!! Their shop is so amazing and has so much awesome stuff from vintage bikes hanging from the ceiling to amazing and passionate staff always greeting people with enthusiasm and excitement! Everyone was so crazy about biking and it made me that much more excited for my adventures! The tech ran me thoroughly through the bike, adjusted it to my height, and showed me all the cool features on this sick bike. I never rode a full suspension bike before but he made me super comfortable with a bike that wasn’t even mine! It has wireless shifting and made my ride just so much more amazing! The bikes are very fairly priced for rental and their website was super easy to navigate through the process! These guys are truly the best in Fruita!
