I used to frequent this AMC Fullerton theater location more often when I was in elementary school and in high school since I grew up in Fullerton.
I don’t get to come here as often as before, except when I am visiting family in the area.
But overall, I have had positive experiences 🌟 here throughout the years, and even redeemed my free large popcorn 🍿 and large soda 🥤 one year for my birthday 🥳 🎂 🎈🎊 as an AMC Stubs Member 🙂!
Earlier this evening 🌝 🌌, my parents and I watched the first of 2 special screenings 🥰 of the original 1985 “Back to the Future 🚘 ⚡️” movie 🎥🍿😃! This was on the non - Dine In side of the theater. But even so, the reclining seats 💺 for our movie 🎦 were really comfy 😌!
The second special screening will be on Wed (10/25) evening 🌝🌌🙂!
I was a toddler when this movie came out in the theaters so many years ago. So I only watched 👀 it for very first time on VHS 📼 as a kid growing up in the 1980s.
My family ❤️ and I have never had any unfavorable experiences all of these years. For us, we have never had any issues getting in and out for movies we wanted to watch, from the days when we had to purchase paper tickets 📑 🎫 right at the ticket window 🎫 🪟, to the present when we purchase digital tickets 📱🎫 through the AMC app ☺️.
All of the employees who we have come across before at the ticket window 🎫 🪟, at concessions 🍿🥤🍭🍬 🍫 😋, and throughout the theater have been pretty respectful and friendly 🙂!
We just have never ordered cocktails 🍹🍸, wine 🍷 or any other alcoholic drinks 🍻 from the MacGuffins bar. So I can’t give any feedback about the service at the bar 🤷♀️.
The only suggestion I have for improvement 🤔 would be if this AMC could at least turn on lights 💡 at the end of the movie so that movie-goers who might have trouble seeing 👀 could at least see where they are going. At other AMCs I have been to, they have at least turned on dim lights (other than the faint lights that light up the aisles) so that everyone can truly see where they are walking.
We noticed that this time when we came to watch “Back to the Future 🚘 ⚡️” for their evening showing 🌝 🌌, and also last year when we came to watch “Top Gun ✈️ : Maverick 😎” for a matinee showing 🌅, they didn’t turn on the lights at the end of the movie. Although I had no trouble seeing and walking, it was hard for my parents to see where they were walking.
Other than that, our overall experience 💫 throughout the years here has been...
Read moreOn September 26 2025 in the afternoon my one ⭐ star late review is for the rude customer who kept interrupting the movie 🍿. Lead manager Julianna didn't do nothing but reward a bunch of drama clowns 😡 I was watching a movie on auditorium 11 there was this weird guy wearing black shirt with white logos and had long hair and a beard with his girlfriend or wife and had a lil girl with them. he kept interrupting the movie and being rude and talking and texting. I didn't even get to enjoy the movie I wish I could of contacted a different staff cuz JULIANA didn't do anything. towards the end of the movie 🎥 I was walking out of auditorium 11 I saw this guy carrying a red flannel with his girlfriend or wife and a lil girl arguing with professional looking officer by the way 😉 and nice staff name Bob assisting this clown about if he was ok because apparently he was also disturbing other customers in men's restroom throwing up and making weird noises this cry baby 😭 kept yelling and provoking armed security & staff and acting aggressive and getting in staff faces all they asked if he was ok to drive home for his safety because he had a lil girl with him but this idiot wasn't listening and got in his feelings. I feel sorry for his lil girl having to deal with a maniac man and a crazy drama girlfriend or wife. I'm so mad that management gave passes to this freakshow for disturbing the peace of others around him. Shame on the lead manager I asked for her name and female staff gave me her name is JULIANA shame on her for not kicking them out of the building why would you reward disrespectful customers attacking your staff. This clown 🤡 freakshow disturbed my movie do I get free passes too. Idk what kind of lead manager you have on site but she is an embarrassment to your business and not representing your name well and what she represents is pitiful.Thank you to Bob the other manager and next time I go back I will also thank the armed officer for being respectful and professional and handling the situation in a high standard for the safety of other customers who were present that day. They put there life on the line to keep business and staff safe much...
Read moreIn February 2025, I went to see a movie with my son when the fire alarm suddenly went off. As we were exiting the theater, I noticed smoke coming from the kitchen area and heard sirens approaching. As any responsible parent would do, I made the decision to immediately leave the premises. Mind you, the LA fires had just occurred a month prior and that was still very fresh in everyone's mind. I assumed that, under the circumstances, the staff would be more than understanding and replace our tickets without an issue. However, when I returned five months later to request new tickets, my request was immediately denied. I explained that I had a toddler at home and had also been out of the country for two months. Unfortunately, the two managers I spoke to (both white females) were condescending and antagonistic. Both claimed they had been working that evening and insisted, “There was no fire.” Now, the fire alarm was activated, I saw smoke, and heard sirens. I made a reasonable choice not to wait around and risk potential danger.
When I asked for their names to file a formal complaint, they refused to provide them, saying they didn’t feel “comfortable,” even though I was respectful throughout our interaction, did not use foul language, didn't raise my voice, nor was I threatening in my demeanor. As a longtime AMC customer for over 20 years and a frequent A-List member, I was extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. After that interaction, I immediately reached out to AMC online and they responded promptly and issued replacement tickets. So this situation could've been handled by the managers with basic professionalism and empathy, but they simply chose not to.
Needless to say I will not be going to AMC Fullerton anymore, and I hope AMC takes steps to ensure better training and accountability...
